- I find that with each time I move and re-decorate, I get more daring. For your first house, play it safe. Stick with the earthy colors and keep the decor simple. Embellish with pictures and accessories that you like. Decide if you like cool tones or warm tones and stick with one or the other throughout. I like decorating with paint - you can change it if you don't like it without costing a fortune. In fact, it is good to have one color for the main living area and work off of that color throughout. Once that is done, you can get comfortable with the theme and you'll know more where you want to go from there - every house has a different feel to it. From there, you can go bolder with a foyer or add an accent wall color, or you can add a faux finish or mural somewhere. Sometimes after painting a room neutral, you can get a painting or print and decorate around it. In fact, that is how I do bathrooms. I pick out a shower curtain that I really love and decorate the entire room around it. It already provides my color pallete, so there isn't much creativity that has to go into the colors. - you can go to petsmart or any other pet store and get something. they have a great variety. most of that stuff should work great because it's got the right enzymes to break down the urine. the only problem you might have is if someone has already tried to get the smell out with the wrong products. then the smell might be locked in. but there is not only ONE product or brand name to buy, many will work if they got the enzymes. the last thing i bought wasurine gone or something. i really liked it because it had a great smell. whatever you use, make sure you soak the area that smell like urine really good and let it air dry. if you think it might just be topical you might use a spray bottle and soak it that way. but don't hesitate to use a lot! i deal with that a lot because of my 2 cats and 2 rats! good luck!

- Watch her carefully, and when you see her jump up on the sofa, say no and remove her. She will learn you do not want her up there, but you must catch this as soon as she jumps up and you must be consistent. If you don't want her up there, she must never be allowed to jump up on the sofa.

- If you like your sofa, why not get an area run to compliment it (it sounds like the sofa has a busy pattern, so select a solid rug; maybe pick a favorite or neutral color that's in the sofa upholstery somewhere, and get an area run in that single color). If you like the floor and are ready for a new look for your sofa, get a slip cover for the sofa. You coud pick out fabric in a fabraic store and have one custom sewn (not necessarily cheap) or check out ready-made slip covers at a site like Sure-fit.

- Q:i live in the states but i am currently in germany visiting my husband because he is in the us military and is stationed here. i have been here for almost two weeks and upon my arrival my husband was told i was only allowed to stay for 90 days, however, i have done some research and learned that i do not have to adhere to the 90 days because i am staying on a us military base and i may exceed the 90 days as long as my passport has a SOFA stamp which proves i am a dependent of a us soldier stationed in a foreign country or something like that. my questions are:do i have to be command sponsored and living with my husband in germany to be able to obtain a SOFA stamp ?if not, what are the required documents needed to obtain a SOFA stamp ?where can i go to get the SOFA stamp ?any additional information is appreciated. please and thank you so much for your help i am looking forward to staying longer than 90 days because i want to be with my husband as long as i can before he has to deploy.
- In order to gain sofa status u must be in your husbands orders to the overseas base. He has to hav accompanied orders and you listed as the dependent who is accompanying him. When me and my children pcs'd with my husband upon entering the country over seas in which he is stationed I had to present my husbands orders. To obtain my sofa license which allows you to drive in another country and work I took the class on base and received if from security forces my husband is air force. But I do know that you can stay longer than 90 days if you exit the country and then return the following dAy,you can research Germay's visa laws and it will mention something about getting a longer visa. This is your best option or your husband can put in to amend his orders so they are accompanied and you can move there for the remainder of his tour. Depending on how long he has left of his tour it may not be worth it because amending orders takes time.

- Q:what color sofa goes with espresso colored walls?
- a terra cotta or rusty red sofa would look bold next to those walls. a sage green would look earthy and calming. beige or tan would look harmonious and neutral and warm. I wouldnt use blue or yellow with that wall color.
