Q:Hey im 13 and im thinking about getting a scaffold piercing. My cousin got hers done and she said it barely hurt. Is it better to do it with a needle or a gun?

No good piercer (in the United States) would do an industrial/scaffold piercing on someone younger then 16 with parental consent. Any piercing (even lobes) is better done with a needle. The needle hurts less, is sterile (where a gun can't be sterilized), and the piercer has lots of experience and will use the right length of jewelry for YOUR anatomy. Mine didn't hurt much..the second hole was definately worse then the first though. It may be sore for months afterwords, they take a year to heal. The one I've had for 3 years still gets sore although it's fully healed.
