I usually double the mixture and put it into a clean bowl and just tilt my head to the side into the bowl to soak it. Ibuprofen for the swelling and soreness, ice for short periods of time throughout the day if you want. Don't change them until they're healed, don't touch them at all, try to sleep on your back or stomach, no swimming underwater or emerging them underwater until they are healed. Do all that and the soaks and you shouldn't deal with infection.

I have a couple little syringes, minus the needles, that my dad brought home from work, (he's a nurse). They are completely sterile, infact new out of the packet. Would squirting the salt solution directly onto the piercing wounds be equally good to clean it ? Or does anyone else have any suggestions for taking care of said piercings ?
