- Q: How would i go about fixing my broken door lock for my civic? the door handle assembly itself pops out all the time although the door itself works. i can see that the back part of the lock where you insert the key on the inside has a plastic piece that is broken off, the door locks from the inside but i just want to know where i could get it fixed or if i can do it myself. and how would i fix the assembly from coming out every time i open my door?
- There may be several reasons you were unable to resolder your joint. If there is water in the line dripping into the joint, You didn't clean the joint properly or you didn't use a flux. Depending on your soldering skills, you may find it easier to cut the old joint out and replace it with two couplings, a couple of pieces of 1/2 copper and a new elbow. Remember to clean the copper and use soldering flux or your joints will leak. If your soldering skills are in question then they do make compression fittings that slip over the 1/2 copper and tighten with a couple of wrenches. You still need two couplings, two short pieces of 1/2 copper and a new elbow. Check with the staff at Lowes or Home Depot for assistance if you not sure what to buy. Compression fittings are really easy to work with. Sorry but there really isn't a cement that will fix your problem properly
- Q: what is the function for rubber cracker mill and Roll mill.?
- D M knows what he is talking about, even if thats not your problem, I am going to give credit to the guy for thinking, right on. Alll I wanted to say is you can get a high efficiency air conditioner with a variable speed blower for dehumidification, and they are made to do that, but I really think there is more to the story here. How cold is it there? Have you had alot of rain?
- Q: What are the standard drawing numbers for hydraulic couplings?
- (two) prohibit adding sealant and other fillers. Some people in order to obtain better sealing effect, in the card cover with sealant, the result of sealant is poured into the hydraulic system, causing hydraulic components, such as plugging holes.(three) when connecting the pipe, the pipe should have enough deformation allowance to avoid drawing the tube.(four) when connecting the pipeline, the lateral force should be avoided, and the lateral force will cause the seal to be too tight.(five) when connecting pipelines, should be a one-time good, avoid repeated disassembly, otherwise it will make poor sealing performance.
- Q: thereis a 1 foot long piece that comes out from a fitting in the masonry - I don't feel good abouit lighting a wood fire in teh fireplace with the black pipe in there. the end of the blackp pipe is open. Very rusty, can't get the elbow fittings loose. Thinking about cutting off the pipe, but howw to seal it against fireplace heat? Really want to use the fireplace for wood.
- The detector is good for localizing the leak, the soap solution is good for pinpointing it. I use a spray bottle with 10 to 1 soap to water for finding leaks.

- There is a possibility of a piece of torn paper blocking the feeder. With the HP, the tray lift spring sometimes also goes bad and easily gets jammed down with the paper that is loaded. Also, if it is a high use machine, the rollers will actually get polished from the paper dust as the sheets feed. The rollers can be rejuvinated with cleaner made for rubber rollers and actually soften them for better operation.. Do not use alcohol as this will dry out the rubber.
- Q: how do you use the Olds/Hurst Lightning Rod Shifters?
- Listen this is an old wifes tale but it really works,,, I use to date a welder and when he got arch he would cut potato's and place them over his eyes,, sounds goofy I know but it really helped him out,,, and never never ever do this again use a helmet with welding glasses!
- Q: secure myself with a seat belt, have a car with air bags, safety glass, collapsable steering column, etc. And still pay outrageous insurance premimums, even though I have never been at fault in an accident. But people with motorcycles get to drive around with no helmets, no safety clothing requirements, loud pipes, and their insurance is nowhere near what I pay. I think their insurance should be ten times what a car owner pays. What do you think?
- There is very little you can do without that ferrule (sleeve). They are very inexpensive.
- Q: Hi,My myopia is pretty high. I wear powered goggles during swimming and I do just fine.I am thinking of taking up water polo for fun. I don't think I'll play it competitively. But I never seen a water polo player using goggles. Is there a rule against this?Just how violent is the sport of water polo? Any useful information

- Q: Why don't fire fighters use that white foamy stuff that you get in fire extinguishers to fight everyday fires, instead of water?Basically I was watching the news today and there was some cottage fire's some where in England and it just got me thinking. Is the white foamy stuff in fire extinguishers only good for small fires? That makes no sense though. And also if water is better for the bigger fire's then why aren't fire extinguishers filled with water. As soon as this popped in to my head I knew I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it.So to recap my main question is;Why is water used instead of the stuff in fire extinguishers to fight fires?Any help would be great. :)
- When these units are professionally installed, especially on a wood floor, they are always connected to a floor drain. The pans are designed to contain a certain amount of water related to minor spill but would not, (obviously), take care of a major leak. If I were installing this I would locate the floor drain and then cut the pan at the bottom to match the drain. Depending upon the size of your drain, (usually 3), you should be able to by an adapter to slightly raise and seal the drain to the pan. Don't forget to caulk the fittings
