Didn't you see the 1000 Ways to Die episode where the idiot used a shop vac to perform his own liposuction and disemboweled himself and bled to death? Same principle. Besides, pumping the stomach would not help with food poisoning, which comes from bacteria or toxins in the food. By the time you use a pump, the bacteria or toxin is in the bloodstream and your vacuuming action is futile.

- IMHO, Dysons are the best available vacuum cleaners ever made available to the American market. The company seems bent on implementing new innovations on every new model they release, where as lame duck companies like Dirt Devil and Hoover continue to release the same old crap over and over. Besides, what other vacuum cleaners next to the Dyson's at your local store offer a 5-year warranty? That's right, Dyson is the only big box department store brand to offer a 5-year warranty, where as Hoover only offers 2 years at the most. If you are interested in getting a Dyson, might I interest you in the new DC17 model? Their new filtration system is more efficient at filtering sand and dust out of the airstream compared to the previous designs, and it uses an extremely aggressive brushroll that will not get hair wrapped around it, and will get deep down sand out of your carpet knap.

- Personally I would stay well away from ANY Dyson vacuum cleaner refurbished or not! I had one and it was the worst cleaner I've ever had. Dyson's 'no loss of suction' claim is just not true, it got easily clogged up and I was forever taking mine apart to get it to suck properly. There were so many bits of pipe you had to unclip to do this it was a real chore. It also had a sponge filter which would affect the suction when it had the smallest amount of dust in it. The motor went in mine after 2 years, it cost ?80 to replace but it never really worked properly afterwards. I threw it out eventually and bought a Henry which is really simple to use and sucks like a demon all the time.
