Q:I am looking for a jumbo disney princess area rug and I can't seam to find one if you know a store or a ligetiment website that sells them that would be great thanks p.s. any princess would do except for princess tiana my daughter is afraid of that cartoon because of the witch craft and the rug I want it really big like at least 4ft tall but I would really love a 5 ft tall rug thanks and please don't tell me they don't exisist because I know for a fact they do my friend has a little mermaid one she bought it at costco and I already checked there and online I can't find it please help
What okorder / Google it and there should be quite a few results.
Q:Have a quick question? What do professional carpet cleaners uses to make the carpet smell like lemon etc?
Carpet deodorizer. You'll find stuff like that sold in janitorial supply places, or you can buy it at a rug store.
Q:What type of rugs do you need for a horse? And when and why do you use them? Thanks
You don't NEED any kind of rugs. My horse gets a cotton sheet during the day to keep flies off as she gets nasty bites, a rainsheet I only use when it's raining and cold as she likes to stand out in the rain even though she has a shelter. If it's hot I don't bother, and a light winter blanket only because she was always blanketed before I got her. I tried to leave it to the last minute for her to grow her winter coat but she did not. If you feel that you must rug get something 600D+ at least, harder to rip.
Q:I just moved into this house and im so paranoid about keeping the floor in good shape, i have a 1 year old and a puppy who are making it kinda hard. So, I need a rug, my living room isnt very big at all, and in fact the living room is kinda long, but not 'big'. I want a red rug, dont know where to search though, and it would be great if i got it at a low price too, what size is a 2x3 by the way? I found one for 20 bucks, but not sure if thats like the size of a rug you put at the entrance of your doorway? help please.
A 2X3 rug is only 24 X 36... too small for a living room. Your living room would probably be better suited to a 5X8 (60 X 96) or similar. When choosing a rug, ask the salesperson about wash-ability as some fibres are more prone to staining even when spills are promptly cleaned with rug cleaner. Solid colours also tend to show dirt quicker, so look for a rug with flecks of red in two slightly different shades or even a bit of a texture so that certain unavoidable dirt (lint, pet hair, etc) might be concealed a bit. Good luck and enjoy your new home!
Q:2 days ago our carpet started leaking. None of our pluming goes underneath it which amazes us. We have no money for plumbers or anyone to check on it. We do have a water heater next to it but its in ground. and we check on it every 2 days and there are no leaks leading to it.
Here's a checklist to follow mate 1) if wettest spot near external wall, check your roof gutters, has it been raining recently? Gutters or Downpipes blocked? 2) if not near external wall, check roofing/tiles, recent rains? Cracked tiles or tile capping? Loose sheeting(if applicable) 3) is it near bathroom? If your shower or bath faucet has a leak behind the tiles it can run down the inner part of the wall and emerge metres away, follow the wet carpet trail (wear only socks as it's easier to feel) walk in a circular fashion outwards from wet patch, if harder to find change socks and stand for a few seconds each step to give water time to seep up (tissues or toilet paper are good too) 4) Check all taps, tap washers (easy to replace and about 20cents each, shower heads and tighten if needed, Teflon tape to seal 5) check that all taps are turned off and go to your water meter and see if dial is turning, if it isn't you have no leaky plumbing, if it is you need to investigate every inch of roof and basement if you have it, 6) check your washing machine hose is situated in drain and that it isn't split, spilling over etc, are your fridge and freezer defrosted regularly? Mate it's water, if it doesn't smell the health risks are very minimal, though mould is a problem, air house out and keep towels down till fixed, hope you find the leak, good luck
Q:My horse is currently shedding, and i have a rug on him all the time, summer rug during the day, and a winter on at night.Does having a rug on help with shedding?Another question, my horse is shedding very little hair, i can tell he is shedding though, and when my pony sheds she loses a lot of hair from one groom, but my horse hasn't been losing much, will lots more gradually start coming off?
A rug won't help. Best remedy is about an hour every few days with a shedding blade. You should take the rug off unless it's very cold. Especially if it's with other horses, it doesn't need a rug. My mare has never worn a rug in her life, and she only has two pasture mates. The way horses mostly shed is the hair comes off a little a first, then a whole lot. The more you groom, the faster and heavier the shedding.
Q:I am wanting to make a braided rug. I have done a lot of research and have patterns, know how to do a few different braids, etc. The trouble I am having is deciding what kind of material to use. I know most people use scraps. I have some old clothes I can cut up, but what material is best? I have mostly old cotton t-shirts. Would that work? Do jeans work? Or should I just buy some sort of material at the store? Any recommendations??
choose anything you want, but make sure its the same throughout
Q:I have a candle that dripped wax on a carpet so what is the easiest way to remove it from my carpet?
get a clean white cloth and an iron. test the iron on the carpet in a hidden area to insure the setting will not melt the carpet. once you have established the maximum setting your iron can be at without melting your carpet then place the cloth over the wax and apply the iron to it. the wax will melt and should be drawn toward the source of heat and be absorbed into the cloth. if you have a lot of wax make sure you have extra cloths so you can quickly remove them as they get saturated with melted wax. before heating with iron, try to remove any large globs of wax that you can with out scrubbing or rubbing the fibers. keep repeating the melting and absorbing process until the wax is gone. be patient. you will be tempted to start rubbing or scrubbing when you see there is only a small amount of wax left. this will ruin your carpet by wearing the fibers, stretching the fibers and unfurling them, leaving a noticeable cowlick or worn are in the carpet. Do not use any kind of 'miracle' cleaner from the super market. they will only leave a residue behind that will act as a dirt magnet and you will have a nasty patch on your carpet in a month that will never go away. any remaining wax will eventually break down, and be vacuumed up with the rest of the dirt that gets into the fibers f your carpet. good luck. careful, don't melt your carpet.
Q:Our Carpet is just a MESS, and the sad thing is when we moved in we just had it put in.I am thinking about Renting a Rug Dr and wondering about their effectiveness of actually cleaning Carpet?I'm not so much worried about Stains as I am SMELL! We have a 2yr old that has pee accidents all the time as we are going through Potty Training right now and yanks his diaper off before I even know it. Then we have a Golden Retriever and A Great Dane they had a bout of Coccidia so that didn't help quot;a lot of diarrea for those who are wonderingquot;...Help! I got a quick Quote from Stanley Steamers and it's going to be around $100+ to do my living room, I'm thinking about just using a rug Dr. What do you think? What can you tell me about it? Thanks! :)
get the rug Dr, get their shampoo, (sudsless, I believe) and get the pet odor remover. When you do it yourself, you can go over it as many times as you want till you see the water is coming up clean. There should be a clear plastic covering in the front, so you can tell that the water being suctioned is still dirty or not. If you do it multiple times, your carpet is going to be wetter, and will take longer to dry out, so plan it for a day of low humidity, and a warm day if possible so you can open windows and doors. You'll need to park the pets and kids somewhere until the carpet dries out.
Q:I would like help buying an area rug for the master bedroom. What kind of material, thread count, under rug mats? I need to know every thing. I have been looking on OKorder and see a lot of rugs that look nice for under $100. Are these rugs to good to be true? Are they really just junk or can a $100 6x8 area rug really be of good quality?
