- Q: This is a self built computer. When using it in a different room, it functioned normally. However, now that I've moved it to a new room, it would constantly reboot or just loses power entirely. With the latter, I would have to remove the power cable and hold the on button for a while before I could turn it back on. Also, when I shut it down, the computer would reboot by itself instead.
- Hi There, I would suggest shutting it down, unplugging the power and holding the power button on for a few seconds to discharge any remaining power. Next open the side cover and check all the cables to make sure none have worked loose while moving to the next room. While the case is open would be a good time to blow out any dust, etc inside and clean any air filters. Hope this helps, Al
- Q: UPGRADING BIG 3. ARE THOSE TWO CABLES THE SAME THING ? DOES IT MATTER WHICH ONE I USE FOR THE BIG 3 UPGRADE?
- The wire is the same, just different color so you dont confuse yourself when installing. You'll actually have to upgrade BOTH wires to properly do the big 3. 1. + Batt to + Alternator output post 2. - Batt to frame/chassis 3. frame/chassis to engine block 4. (For extra) engine block to - Batt All in at least 0 awg gauge wire. I've done my in 0/2 awg gauge welding cables.
- Q: What does the cable (YJV-5 * 6) mean?
- ZR-YJV22-4 * 16 is ZR armored flame retardant power cable, YJV22 copper core PVC insulated steel tape armored PVC sheathed power cable, 4 * 16 is 4 core 16 (mm2) section.
- Q: I bought a LG Plasma TV, it comes with 3 Ferrite cores, two of them is a little bigger than the diameter of the power plug and it's not tight on it and one is small, is it effective to but the bigger one one the power cable?
- It doesn't make any difference, they are just as effective if they are loose. Actually the bigger ones should be more effective at filtering because there is more ferrite material in them.
- Q: can i cut my computer Power Supply cables/USB and HDD cable to add an extension myself? They're all short.
- Power supply cables - no problem. USB cable, make sure you use the same style of cable. HDD cable, you can buy longer ones, this is a better option than trying to extend the one you have. There are some signal issues if you try to extend the cable.
- Q: I need to know if the power light on the amp will turn on if I don't have the RCA cables hooked up or if you have to have them hooked up just to get power to the amp? I was just wondering because I just hooked up an amp and I can't get the power to come on, and I'm pretty sure the power, ground, and remote wire is hooked up good, it's the RCA cables i'm thinking is messed up, but would the power light come on even if those wasn't hooked up?
- Most Amplfier will turn on without the rca cables, but some might not. Its really a matter of chance. =)
- Q: high effency double shielded transmission power cable?
- What is your question? Does such a cable exist? Probably but you'll have to be more specific. High efficiency = low loss or low resistance per foot? Double shielded = is the shielding (in dB) critical? Transmission = What frequency, 60 Hz, 1 MHz, 100 MHz, ? Power = Watts, KW, MW Is weight or cost important?
- Q: i would like to have my power cables and control boxes inside in one spot is this possible? if so how and how expensive would it be?
- You could use trunking for the cables, and for the control boxes if they are in the house you could hide them under a box which you could decorate to look like a parcel...personally I would paint it, but drill some holes for ventilation.
- Q: So I've been working on my computer aand looking to invest in a primary Hard Disk (instead of X2 250GB hard drives). I noticed the drive i have has Fantasy power outlets and newer models have SATA Power so I'm kind of confused on the Hard Drive i should get. I'm looking at hard drives 500GB-1TB
- Fantasy power outlets don't sound standard. SATA is consistent on both PCs and Macintosh computers.
- Q: The only thing that im worried about is that my PC power cable has three little slots where you plug it into the brick and my brick only has 2 slots, th cord still fits and powers up my xbox 360 but im just worried about it quot;fryingmy new system. Thanx
- i'm sorry, yet it rather is an somewhat unusual question. Why could it no longer be secure to plug something right into a surge protector? Are there contraptions obtainable for which an electric powered surge is a good factor? No, i easily do no longer think of so. unusual.
