- Q: I was given an Mellita One:One coffee maker and I noticed when inter running it through a cycle it would leak all the water through the bottom. So I opened it up and noticed that one part of waterpump tubing is not attached so I attempted to use super glue to reattach it. So do you think it will hold during use?
- the chemicals would be poisonous.Put a small hose clamp that size or make one using a soft but firm wire around twice twist ends to draw tight.Caution: A wire too hard twisted too tight may bust the plastic inside tubing. Will be fine if pipe you are putting on is steel A light stainless steel alloy is best to eliminate corrosion.
- Q: one of the tubes from the radiator cracked so i want to glue them together..
- Sounds like a good plan if you want your car to overheat from lack of coolant. JBweld might do it but it costs more than just replacing the hose.
- Q: How do i distill alcohol? Do i need copper tubing or can i use different tubing for the home distiller?
- I'm no expert but I think copper is the right choice because it is relatively low reactive metal. Otherwise I would say stainless steel or something like that. Copper is your next choice though
- Q: My 99 Ford Escort has been making sloshy water sounds and whistling sounds on the passenger side of the car when I run the A/C. I have also noticed that the floor is damp on the passenger side only. If I look up under and behind the glove compartment there is a black plastic box that is covered with condensation within a few minutes of running the a/c. Based on what I've read, this problem is probably a blocked drain rather than the heater core (I live in Florida and haven't touched my heater in 6 months :P). Can anyone confirm? The noise has also been getting worse, I noticed the damp floor a week or two ago, but the water noises have only kicked up the past 2 days. Will running the a/c without fixing it permanently damage anything? If I can't locate the drain to unblock and have to take it into the mechanic, how much would I be looking at? Thanks!
- sounds like your rite. also if it where your heater core you would get steam and would smell the anti frez. as for finding the drain try looking in the owners man. or sneak a peek at a chiltons in a parts store.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for cable protection?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for cable protection. They provide a protective covering for cables, helping to prevent damage from external factors such as moisture, dust, and physical stress. Plastic tubes are commonly used in various industries and applications to ensure the longevity and reliability of cables.
- Q: How to deal with dirt in soft plastic pipes?
- Because of its advantages of light weight, corrosion resistance, small flow resistance, easy installation, rapid construction and low cost, it has been widely used at home and abroad. But the plastic pipe is not pressure, not heat, and no fire, burning will produce poisonous gas, in a high fever, high pressure, near fire conditions difficult to use. Its strength, linearity and the temperature difference in extreme regions restrict its application.
- Q: What is a paintball power tube used for?Im looking into an tippmann A5 power tube Delrin Front Bolt. Whats the difference and benefits. Thanks
- The power tube is the part that holds the valve in the marker and helps direct air flow. Getting a new power tube will do NOTHING to performance. It has no performance valve what so ever. The front bolt is the part that helps push the ball out or the chamber. And getting a new one will help very very lil. So lil that it doesn't really matter. THis is because the stock front bolt on the tippmann markers is made so well that changing it doesn't make it any better because they will perform just about the same. Replacing the stock power tube to a full aluminum power tube is a good idea because after a while the stock plastic power tube does tend to break and when that happens it will cause air or co2 to leak. The aluminum one wont do that and lasts a lot longer.
- Q: the tube is way to tight.. what should i do?.. what would the workers at hobby shops do?
- Plastic often gets soft when warmed. But be carefull not to overheat nor to tear it when you force the antenna through. Patience is the most needed 'tool'. To warm the tube, when it is still un-attached, try dipping it in lukewarm water, keeping the ends out to avoid water getting in. If it is working but not enough, take a second 'bath' a little warmer. If the tube is already in place, try a blow-dryer, on low heat and only a few seconds as first. Lengthen the time if it is not enough. Be carefull about heating the model, as parts are often glued with hot-glue and might get unstuck if to warm.
- Q: They live in an aquarium that has an attachment on top that allows for a second floor. There are plastic tubes that run between the two levels. They both constantly scratch violently at them, and i dont want them to break the tubes. Does anyone know why they're doing this? And what can i do to stop them? Maybe there's something else i can give them to scratch?
- The first thing you need to do is put the gerbil in a closet, bathroom, or another room at night so you can sleep and the gerbil can make noise. :) Gerbils will shred anything and everything so ideally they should be kept in glass aquararium tanks which are easier to clean and therefore more sanitary and healthier for your pet. Wire cages only encourage rodents to poke their noses through and chew on the bars. That's unsanitary because it's hard to clean and they'll often get sores on their noses from doing that. Also, since respiratory infections are common you want ventilation, but not a draft. So get rid of the plastic - it'll get chewed to bits eventually anyway - and get a tank. Also put plenty of chewing blocks in there so your gerbil can keep it's teeth filed down. That noise can also be loud, but it's a necessary for them to chew and you just put them in another room.
- Q: i'm just curious but, is it possible to use a plastic (case) tube as an optical fiber? i was searching and found this product that i had for along time now and it is a Eyeglass Repair Kit which has a plastic tube (case). is it possible to use this as a plastic acrylic tube?
- Optical waveguides work by total internal reflection, which occurs when light attempts to exit a dense medium into a less dense one. Optical fibers are constructed with a high-index-of-refraction material coated with a material with a slightly lower index. Light striking the wall of a hollow tube will pass into the tube wall. If you metalize the inside of the tube you can get a waveguide of a sort, but it will only work over a short distance because of lossy reflection. You're not remotely close to having anything you could make into a phase conjugate mirror, unless you have discovered some amazing new optical trick.
