Q:Why can't a person walking on a highway see the further parts of the highway on a hot summer day?
all my gear i've gotten from my local cycle gear gloves (mesh for summer, waterproof for winter), pants (w removable air panels), mesh jacket, vented boots (with waterproof covers), thermal base layer, helmet (modular w internal visor), and a cooling base layer for extra hot days- all black synthetics with CE rated padding (which you WANT!!) for under $600. one complete layer alone was less than $500- helmet (100), jacket (80), pants (100), gloves (40), and boots (120) all my gear (except thor boots) is of cycle gear's in house brands- bilt (5 yr NQA warranty) or sedici (lifetime NQA warranty) i've been very pleased so far with the design and quality of cycle gear's protective apparel- i've only replaced the waterproof gloves after a few years because they were leaking. they grabbed a new pair off the shelf and i was on my way with no hassle they also have leather gear and full suits, i just wasn't interested in the extra expense/ lack of flexibility if this is more than you're looking to spend, check craigslist out- just don't buy gear that has been crashed and NEVER BUY A USED HELMET!! ATGATT (all the gear all the time) i'm glad to see you value your skin!
Q:How interchangable are the parts between my 1986 Comanche and similar Cherokees. Namely locks and bumpers
e that is absolutely disgusting! ur 14! I'm 14 too but at least wait until you get over. You might regret it and once you get the piercings, the holes never leave so be wise. Picture urself when ur 50 not gonna look good
Q:Not anything about chemistry, just lab safety. Maybe puns about aprons, goggles, gloves, aprons, etc. Thanks!
These answers are effin' hilarious lmao!! But, anyways, I havn't drove over any yet, cuz i'm 15, so I just started driving, but I'll probably try to go kinda slow, cuz my dad always says they're gonna knock off the front end of the car haha!! ) Great question!!
Q:need material thats strong but reflective like glass? and transparent?
? horizontal speed uw*cosp, where p35°, w25m/s; ? initial vertical speed vw*sinp, time to reach vertex is tv/g; distance from hose to building is xu*tw*cosp*(w*sinp/g) 0.5w^2*sin(2p)/g 30.0 m;
Q:I just move in to a new apartment unit. That has a hard-wire smoke detector in the hallway. I Would like to know. If my smoke detector would go off if I set off some roach bombs?
It is an exhaust hose. It keeps Diesel exhaust from getting all over the building and gear. (It actually ruins gear). It also keeps guys from getting cancer which has been a huge issue in the past. There are several kinds. We have Plymovent. Plymovent attaches with an air bladder that fills with air around the exhaust pipe. The hose is attached to a rail that runs the length of the bay. It has a pressure switch inside the hose so when you start the truck up the system turns on. When you pull out the hose rides along the track until it gets to an automatic release at the door when it lets all the air out of the bladder and lets go of the tailpipe. The system runs a preset time, 2 minutes, to get all the exhaust out of the building. When the vehicle returns it backs in and a firefighter manually attaches it using the switch on the hose to fill the bladder with air once he positions it on the exhaust again. I have seen other exhaust systems with magnets too and I think they actually are a better system.
Q:Whenever you're listening to a song from a certain album, the atmosphere the album cover gives off to you, is that the same atmosphere the *song* gives off to you?MQ: Favorite song about rain?
It's like when a rocket moves, what makes the rocket to go forward? the stream of mass exploding from it's behind pushes it forward. The law of conservation of linear momentum states that the total momentum of a closed system of objects (which has no interactions with external agents) is constant. So if the fuel is emitted out of an spaceship the spaceship gains momentum in the opposite direction. It's the same thing with the fireman, just instead of spaceship it's a hose and instead of fuel it's water! :D Have a nice day ;)
Q:Should speed bumps be placed on NASCAR tracks to make the sport more safe?
Were you in the car at the time? If you were, and your State requires a person with a Jr. license to have a licensed driver in the car with them, then you were legally 'in charge' of the vehicle at the time, and are responsible for the damages. If your State allows a 17 year old to drive unsupervised at whatever time the accident occurs, then she is responsible for the damages. However, if she can't pay, it is likely that the water board will come after you as the vehicle owner. In any event, your best bet is just to let your insurance take care of it - if there is a way to recover from her, they will pursue it. Richard
Q:When I closed it, both of my keys were inside, and I didn't realize that it would lock by itself. The Sentry safe is fire proof and water proof. The key is tubular. The lock is also made to resist expert lock picking and attacking of the lock. I have $300 worth of giftcards in my safe, so I really need to open it. I also left the paper that had all my information like my serial nuber and model number of my safe, so I don't have the proper information to provide to get my keys replaced. What do I do. Would a lock smith be able to open it, or make a new tubular key for it.
Why are you allowing this stupid drama into your life?! I know you won't listen to anyone's advice on here since you have gone this far with letting this looser into your life. But do yourself a favor and cut off all contact/communication - everything with him. No texts/emails/calls/letters - NOTHING.
Q:I have a 1999 Ford F350 Super duty 4x4 and want to change the wheels on my truck but it has the hubs that you lock in. Can i just put regular wheels on there. If I can will that keep it in four wheel drive all the time. Or do i have to look for wheels with the locking hubs on them.
Let me guess. You have a bike with a gear system of first gear down and the rest up, and well, like f100 mentioned, you most probably got your foot on the pedal the toe end on the lever when riding so when you hit a bump it shifts back to neutral, I usually have my foot on the heel end so when I hit bumps sometimes I have the gears shifting upwards regardless of whether I want to change or not(natural physics of whacking a bump), but would be better(if not accelerating) rather than having it cut down to neutral, or worse still, 1st gear where you could land in trouble if not safe with the sudden cut down on the speed. If that is not the case, it is highly doubtful the gears shift back on its own, unless they're really screwed up or you tend to not shift them properly. Better option would be try not to keep your foot on the lever when you drive over bumps, or if that's not the issue, a trip to the mechanic is the only obvious choice. Hope that helps
Q:whats to add.. if you dont understand the Q dont A it.
You don't say if you are a renter or owner. The proper smoke/fire detection is the responsibility of the building owner. If you are renting the landlord will be the one in trouble with the Fire Marshall. If you own the condo then it's your responsibility. Any detector over 10 years old should be replaced anyway. The sensing elements in them can go bad after a certain time period.
