- I assume your not talking about using indoor tiles in your driveway. But if you are, it be a big mess. Don't do it. There are all kinds of styles of outdoor tiles and/or stones that are made to stand up not only the weight of cars, but the elements as well. I understand not wanting to pay for labor, but at least invest in some professional advice. Ask at the place you get your tiles/stones and sand who to talk to. Maybe having a professional doing some of the harder task involved will save cost of repairs later. Sounds like a nice idea though. I love a bricked driveway myself.
- Q:My husband and I bought a house where most of the rooms (kitchen, dining room, entertainment room, den, and laundry room) are all tiled with these Terra cotta like tiles. They are a southern type rusty red and stain easily. My husband loves the tiles and wants to keep them. He‘s concented on changing the color if I want though, as long as I keep the origional tile. - I wouldn't bother doing it. You could get a sealer the seal the tile because I think I remember my dad saying Terra Cotta tiles are very porous. But I don't think that trying to put paint or changing its color would give you satisfactory results.
- Q:so i bought tile but not the bull nose end pieces cause they did not have them for that tile. I tiled all the way out to the edge of the counter and now need a way to finish the edge. - some cheaper tiles will chip regardless of your wet saw blade. forget the wood surround. it so 70's. i typically rip those types of tops OUT of houses. go to a reputable tile distributor, and purchase a nice glass tile you can apply as the counter surround. you can bring the glass tile up high enough to cover the bad tile edge and grout the gaps in to finish. also, a better tile distributor, not lowes or home depot, may have a bull nose that matches or have a differing idea, but for SURE would have ample choices for glass.
