Q:it is literally burning hot have no idaea wat the problem is plzz help:). porcelain tile btw: you proll have in floor heating. its pipes running throo your floor with hot water.

Q:Okay so i live in an apartment and i cant EVER get mant. out here to fix this... the stuff thats between the tiles is missing and it looks gross and then the white rubber stuff that sits between the tub and the tile is coming off in random places.... what is this stuff called and would i be able to fix this junk myself???The white stuff that connects the tubs looks like that white stuff they use to connect the base boards to the hardwood floor...: The white stuff between the tiles is GROUT! Yes you can grout your own tiles easily! And the white stuff round the bath is silicone and you can do this easily too. Go to a DIY store and but the ready to use grout and apply it as per the instructions on the tub and the same with the silicone! Should not take too long and looks loads better when done! Also this protects against water damage to the walls etc. Good luck!

Q:I am looking at replacing my kitchen floor, which currently has carpeting. (Bought the house like that.) And now I am looking to do either vinyl or tile. I understand tile is good for a lifetime, where as vinyl is good for 15-20 years for the heavier kind, but tile is double the cost. We plan on staying in our house a long time, if not forever, but in the case we would decide to sell, would tile or vinyl give us more value?: Tile will always increase the value of your home. The problem with vinyl is that it is soft, so the chair and table legs will soon leave indentations in the vinyl and they will be permanent. This is also true for the appliances and any heavy furniture. It also chips, tears, and gouges easily. Vinyl can also stain. A tile may crack, but a tile can easily be replaced. There is virtually no upkeep to a tile floor.

Q:This is a first time tiling job. Does anyone have any tips to how to properly lay tile?: I have been a tile installer for over ten years now. Basic tile installations, such as floors and backsplashes are perfectly fine for any homeowner. There is not much that can go wrong ( mainly Aesthetics) When is entails water related installations ( Wet areas). This is when a homeowner can get in over their heads. Water will find its way out if a stall is not properly prepped and waterproofed. I honestly would recommend hiring a professional. Just my opinion.

Q:We have small ceramic tiles on our bathroom floor. They are varied in shape and size (see photo).I think that these tiles originally came with some sort of netting on the back when they laid the floor and they added grout? I believe I saw some extra tiling somewhere in our home and this is what I had found.Anyway, the grout is breaking up between some of the tiles and some of the tiles keep popping out. I have two questions, If I regrout them do I put it on the bottom of the tile too and does that make the tile adhere to the floor?How would I get the grout to match what‘s already there, it‘s a medium brown gray.
