- Q: I want to entirely paint a Sofa and Wingback........ and im scared lol !!!....?Ok.... I have a old Sofa and matching chairs. Ive recently had a large patio cover installed over the rear of my house and would like to use the furniture...... and make it like a living room in the backyard... I'm thinking of painting the sofa and chairs and would like to use a paint that will make the furniture somewhat weatherproof as well..... The furniture will be under the very large patio cover..... so it will not be rained on at all, but will be exposed to humidity, condensation, ...... and pool water on the tushy..lol Sooo.... Is there a paint that i can use to paint the sofa and chairs entirely .... something that would give the furniture a waterproofing....rubber like coating?? thus changing indoor furniture .... to outdoor furniture.....Thank for reading....
- The table: no problem. Sand it and use exterior latex paint in your color of choice. The chairs and sofa: problem. You are never going to keep the moisture out of the stuffing/padding no matter what you apply to the upholstery. You might be able to use them outdoors for one season but after that they are going to be moldy. If you can find a humidity resistant stuffing material I would suggest stripping the chair and sofa to the frame, re-stuff them and re-upholster in one of the newer weather resistant fabrics. I would waterproof the wood frame first and paint any exposed wood with exterior latex. Good luck!

- Depends on if you have to go around a tight corner right at the entrance, but I see no problem. All you need to do is take off the feet (usually they unscrew) and that should give you the 4 or so you need to pass through the door frame. You can also unscrew the door from its hinges and remove the door temporarily, to get that out of your way. Take the hinges out of the door from, not the hinges from the door itself. Then, you will have to flip the sofa up, so that the narrowest part is passing through the door, and the part that is 40 is up and down in the doorway. Sometimes it's easier if you tilt the sofa to make the back of the sofa and the bottom into a right-angle vee, pointing at the side of the doorframe. You need some strong help to do this. If you are having it delivered by the furniture company, you will be impressed at how efficiently the delivery crew gets that thing into your house.

- Leather is great and wears well especially if you have kids. Kids get fabric really dirty, tear it and then what do you have left? At least with Leather, the older it gets, the better it looks. Most stuff cleans off of it pretty easy. Grease is a little more difficult, but you can use leather conditioner and it does a good enough job! Just buy good leather, not cheap. You will not be sorry.
- Q: I bought a bright red IKEA fabric sofa. I want to make sure the color doesn't start to fade away. The fabric is a cover that i can remove and wash but i am afraid the color will start to fade. Any suggestions? How to keep the red bright.
- Well while it is on your sofa get some scotch brite in the red can and spray it , it will protect it from stains and fading as well . My mother bought a red sofa 4 years ago and to this day it still looks new and she just always uses the scotch brite on it , and every so often she has to do it again but it is so worth it Also when you wash the cover always wash it in cold water with wool lite or a mild detergent , and dry it on the air dry setting , and it should keep its color .
- Q: I understand there is a huge difference because one has a bed in it and one doesn't, but my question is which is more comfortable to sit on? I have the opportunity to order the same sofa just one has a sleeper with a $20 difference. My mom swears that the sleeper sofas are terrible to sit on. True?
- Sleeper sofas have come a long way and are not nearly as uncomfortable as they used to be. That said, generally speaking, a regular sofa is usually softer to sit on. Perhaps you can find a store that carries both and try sitting on them both to form an opinion. Also, do you think you'd use the sleeper function often? If not, I don't think it would really be worth it. Good luck!

- Air mattresses will last longer than air sofas and air sofas are really not that high quality. I'd say an air sofa will probably last 5-12 months depending on how much it is used.
