Q:Why is my motorcycle installed on a siren that will brake it?

Q:its not factory installed and never had a problem before. it always beeped twice when it was unlocked and beep once when it was locked. the beep sound is not the horn tho. help!

Somehow the chirp confirmation for when you arm/disarm your alarm has been altered. Within your instruction manual you may find a way to change the setting back to the way you had it when the alarm was originally installed. Otherwise, you'll have to bring it back to the place where you had it installed to have them change it back. At the very least, you can confirm there isn't something wrong with the alarm altogether (which is another possibility).

Q:I have a remote starter installed in my car (Nissan Sentra) with a key fob that is connected to the OEM theft alarm. Recently it has been malfunctioning- when i try to unlock the doors with the remote, the alarm sounds. The only way to kill the alarm is to stick the key in the passenger side door. What could be causing this malfunction? I‘ve had the remote starter for years so I really don‘t think that‘s the problem- it‘s the alarm itself.

If this started at the same time as the remote starter install, I'd take it back to wherever installed it and tell them it's screwed up. If not, then the first thing I'd do is check the battery in the fob. It may be weak, and only get out a partial signal that causes the alarm to sound. If that's not it, I'd look for websites for the remote starter and/or alarm, and see if they have any tech support or forums.

Q:car was runnin fine and tried to start it the next day and it click a few times and the alarm keep goin off i replaced the battery and it still want start it wont even try to start but the alarm keep goin off even when i try to start it i think it mite be the anti theft on but idk how to reset it if that is the problem i neeed help please

the alarm is keeping it from starting. Is this an aftermarket alarm system? If so, you should have a valet switch on it and you need to change it to that setting. If the alarm is manufactured installed, you need to have it towed to the dealer for them to reset it. This happens because the vehicle thinks you are trying to steal it. If the battery is disconnected the alarm sets off and the vehicle is disabled. After it is reset by the dealer, everything should be OK. The other problem you may have is the alternator not charging the battery. Keep your fingers crossed and hope it is just the battery only and the alarm issue stated above. ;)

Q:what is the difference between two way and one way security systems in car alarms?

One-Way are your run of the mill alarms. Remote has a few buttons, when someone brakes into your car the horn will sound. Two-ways work the same but notifiy the user of an security breach. The remotes usually come with a LCD display of a car and when you car doors are broken into and opened, the car horn will sound and also the remote will sound notifiying the user of someone breaking into there car.

Q:I have a compustar paging car alarm that worked perfectly before I installed my indash gps stereo. I put the gps antenna right where the paging antenna goes for the alarm, now my alarm wont page me when I lock or unlock the car , or even when the alarm goes off but it does still lock/unlock the car. The gps antenna has a stick magnet that sticks to the window and the magnet that is on the gps antenna sticks to the magnet and it was about touching the paging antenna. Would the magnets mess up the Paging antenna ? and if so is there a way to de-magnetize it or something?

The magnets shouldn't cause any problems however putting the two antennas next to each other may change the tuning on the antennas, they will have been designed assuming nothing next to them. If possible you should try to have a couple of inches between them. That said the effect shouldn't be enough to stop things working, at worst the GPS won't work quite as well as it should. This may be a silly question but are you sure you didn't accidentally knock any of the connections to the alarm loose when connecting the GPS/stereo? One other possibility is that both the alarm and the stereo are probably connected into the the cars CAN bus, there is a possibility of some weird interaction going on between the two but that is a long shot.

Q:my battery went dead so we disconnected it to replace it and now my alarm goes off. we don‘t have the alarm remotes.i have a 2002 toyota tacoma

Hook the battery up alarm will sound. Unlock the drivers door with the key. Alarm should turn off. If alarm continues try put the key into the ign and turning it to the run position.One of those usually works. Good luck hope I helped

Q:will it still work without the Starter Interrupt, and the (+) Ignition Input hooked up? If not how can I bypass it. I am wanting just the basic alarm functions none of the options, due to previous passlock issues.

Of course it will work. The alarm does not know what features you have installed or not. You should connect the ignition (yellow) wire as you will need power to this for programming as well as other features of the alarm.

Q:my truck got broken into last night and i had a factory alam system and i guess it didnt do nothing so i want to get a good one or one that will just sound off when someone gets near and bumps it. i dont need remote start or anything just a GOOD/ well working alarm system. and one know were i can get one and were to get them installed and what they run thanks

lokk into getting a viper, i have them in my last 3 cars and work very well, you can also get one with a paging remote that will alert you when your car is tampered with. just research the distance factor to see if is a good feature for your situation. ps factory alarms only go off when the door is opened, so if they smashed the window and climb in then thats how they got ya
