Tips:

1. Before using the generator, please read the instructions carefully;

2. When using the new generator, please add proper amount of four-stroke motorcycle oil (the diesel generator uses diesel engine oil above CD level) before starting;

3. Please use the generator in a well-ventilated environment to avoid harmful gas poisoning;

4. No fuel should be added when the generator is running, please stop and cool for more than 3 minutes before injecting fuel.

Q: What are the faults of diesel generator
Click the excitation button with the excitation button
Q: I am wondering did water go over these reactors, and if they did is that what caused the problems, and if not, what in fact really happened?Could the devastation have been worse if water washed over it?
The Tsunami washed INTO the Reactors. -Short circuiting the Power supply much of the Instrumentation that runs Them. And THAT's Why the Japanese are struggling with Them NOW -It's almost as if You dropped your iPod into Sea Water- and really Messed it up !! Well, Salt Water Nuclear Reactors don't mix very well- either !! :(
Q: I am purchasing a LARGE MOBILE TRAILER to be my mobile workshop. I wonder which would best regarding fumes and general maintenance. Onan approx. 7000w is my preffered choice at this point.
well gas is a much cleaner burn and gives off no fumes but it does give off alot of moisture and you will find it will quite literally rain in your trailer on cold days. also when gas evapourates from liquid to gas it absorbs the ambient heat and freezes so in really cold weather the gas bottle freezes and the heater doesn work. the only real benefit from deisel is its freezing temp and the fact that you will always have some if you run out in the van but unfortunately they do need regular servicing as they do block the filters and start to pulse and when they do that they give out blowms of smoke which isnt pleasant
Q: how much power do they require and how much room do they take up?
If you are talking about the truck (traction) motors on a locomotive, then whole power system! diesel engine, generator, exciter generator, truck motors, can range anywhere from seven hundred horsepower for a switch engine up to several thousand horsepower for a line haul locomotive. The traction motors get their power from the generator which is connected to the diesel engine. There is no direct mechanical connection from the diesel engine to the wheels. All the diesel engine does is turn the generator. The power from the generator is what running the traction motors which in turn drives the wheels of the locomotive. That is where the term diesel over electric comes from. In short the diesel engine drives the generator. The power from the generator drives the traction motors. The traction motors drive the wheels. The wheels drive the locomotive. The amount of power the generator puts out is controlled by two things. How fast it is turning (number of RPM and how much excitation voltage it's fields are being excited with by the exciter generator. Both the RPM's and the excitation voltage is controlled by the engineer. The advantage of using diesel over electric is they can tandem several locomotives together to pull long trains and be able to control them all from the lead engine. (Locomotive) As far as size Look at the trucks on the locomotive. The area between the wheels is pretty muchly taken up by the traction motors. Here is another fact. The generator is a DC generator and the traction motors are DC motors. Most of the time they are series wound DC motors for better starting torque since they are always coupled to a load. Here is another fact from the been there done that file! Traction motors are nasty and dirty to work on like when you have to change brushes and seat the new brushes and horne the commutator
Q: Are they cranked by a self starter? Is there such an immensely powerful self starter that runs off batteries and can start such a big engine?Or are they started by some gasoline powered motor?
A diesel engine is started (like an automobile) by turning over the crankshaft until the cylinders fire or begin combustion. The starting can be done electrically or pneumatically. Pneumatic starting was used for some engines. Compressed air was pumped into the cylinders of the engine until it gained sufficient speed to allow ignition, then fuel was applied to fire the engine. The compressed air was supplied by a smallauxiliary engine or by high pressure air cylinders carried by the locomotive. Electric starting is now standard. It works the same way as for an automobile, with batteries providing the power to turn a starter motor which turns over the main engine. In older locomotives fitted with DC generators instead of AC alternators, the generator was used as a starter motor by applying battery power to it.
Q: I thought I had found a great place to rent but after reading reviews I found out they charge extra rent monthly for pets and the noise is bad being next to the AFB. Additionally some residents complained that their electric bills were 800 a month. I expected high, but that seems higher than anything else I have read by other people who live there. Can anyone give me an idea of where would be ideal to look for rentals? I have a middle school and a high school aged kids and two small pets. I don't want to live in a dump and our rental budget is about 2000 a month. Any advice regarding location is greatly appreciated!
Yeah, gotta agree with LT, we pay really hi rate hea cause most alla lectricity generate by diesel generator, and very spensive, plus the power company make lotta money too, ok? Gonna be the same any where onna all islands, for me, to save money we just live with what eva temperature we got outside, neva heat or cool house, just change how we dress, use ceiling fan rarely, open house bout daylite and let cool off, then close up wen day get hotter, got xtra insulation to hold heat/cool depend onna time of year(during rainy season can get too cool for older people, we just put onna long sleeve shirt/sweater, then no problem, and for cook we use electric, but go easy on that, like cook big amount wen we cook, then store, have Viking fridge and Viking freezer, but put them onna timer to run less during no use time, only open fridge maybe 2, 3 time during day, use solar panels for heat water, only use water heater wen we have guests, also use solar perimeter lite, that sorta thing, ok? Gas available here, but not much mobetta than lectric for cost, ok? Now, at nite we only lite room we in, watch small tv leave big screen off, and try to keep bill unner 800 a month, ok? Smaller place mean smaller lectric bill, but most alla place for rent hea not include electricity, ok? Hope this help, peace an aloha to you!
Q: I know I take for granted that I have indoor plumbing but where does the water pressure that causes water to flow come from when I turn on my sink? Is it a pump. Where does the energy come from?
In most cases for a city, the pressure comes from gravity. A water tank is filled by an electric pump and gravity carries the water to your home. The water is not usually pumped directly unless you have your own well.
Q: how exactly to fossil fuel power plants work?
Depends on the type of power plant. There are some, like coal and furnace-type natural gas plants, that burn fossil fuels in a furnace or combustor. The burning of the fuel heat water flowing through a boiler, evaporator, or steam generator to produce steam. This steam is directed to a steam turbine which turns a generator and sends power to the grid. Fossil fuels can also be used in a gas turbine (basically a jet engine mounted stationary) to directly turn a generator and send power to the grid. This is known as simple cycle. The waste exhaust from the gas turbine can be sent through a heat recovery steam generator to produce steam. This steam is directed to a steam turbine which turns a generator and sends power to the grid. This would be a combined-cycle operation. Fossil fuels can be used to run a diesel generator.
Q: I have been researching EV cars and conversions and am wondering about using a generator instead of batteries. I am not an enviro-nut concerned about making an emission free vehicle, just one that is cheap to drive. It seems to me that using a generator to power the motor, although it would use gas, would be way more efficient than a normal gas engine that is in a car, and would be lighter than batteries. Also, if it is a diesel generator I could run bio-diesel to cut back on emissions. Am I correct in this assumption?
You would be losing efficiency each time you transferred energy. Let's say a generator is 50% efficient (that is, half the energy contained in the fuel is transferred), then the electric motor is 50% efficient. Now you are already only getting 25% efficiency from the fuel. You lose efficiency because of various factors including friction and resistance. If you could get 100% efficiency, then you have just invented perpetual motion.
Q: I want to build an electric generator from an electric motor, how do I do this?I need planes on how to build a generator from an electric motor. I am wanted to use a 16 HP Power Diesel tractor motor. Can any one help? I am useing Diesel power because diesel fuel last longer than gas when in storage. Is this correct?I want a AC Generator.
With a permanent magnet DC motor (like from a battery powered toy) this will work fine. An AC motor is less likely to work, in normal operation the magnetic field that makes an AC motor work is produced by the electricity going into it, so if no power is going into it there is no magnetic filed to make it act as a generator, actually there might be a little stray magnetism or there are methods of getting it started with a pulse of external power, but the PM DC motor will be easiest . In short,yes you can use a motor for a generator but not just any motor
