- Q:I want to move my receptacle pipe for the toilet bowl. There is a lead pipe with an elbow and then it enters into a cast iron pipe with a hub.i want to keep the cast iron hub but would like to put a 45 degree elbow and use the existing lead pipe to keep it 13 inches from the wall. How do i separate the current joint by either heating or wiggling the joint out? This pipe will lay under a concrete floor. any help would be appreciated.
- There are numerous types of couplings, tees, elbows, caps, reducers in many types of materials, pressure ratings, types of connections (threaded, welded, soldered, glued) and sizes. There are other special fittings like flanges, weld-0-lets, saddles, etc.
- Q:So right after the curved pipe that comes out of the muffler a piece of pipe, probably a little over a foot long rust off. The pipe itself wasn't that rusted just the ends of the piece that broke off. The front of the exhaust pipe is still secure and the curved section attached to the muffler seems secure as well. I found the correct firm and had the railway collect the fittings - value about $2000.00 - and deliver the drum to the rightful owners. In time the railway personnel asked if I would be able to assist them in the identifying of such unaddressed items. I agreed. On one occasion they sent 9 drums (Est. value $15 00.00 - $20 000.00) for me to identify. The manager of our firm and the accountant saw these on the platform, before I had checked them. He demanded that I tell the railway that all the fittings were ours. There was no manner that the railway personnel would be able to establish the truth. I refused, weighed the drums, and allocated them accordingly. (The other firms were impressed, my manager was not) I was a new employee and after 6 months I approached the Manager with regards to an increase in salary. He refused point blank. I reminded him that a person willing to steal for him, would also be prepared to steal from him. This fell on deaf ears. I was obliged to resign. I could not find other suitable employment, so I started a carpet cleaning business. I was in business about 2 weeks when I was asked to clean that company's office carpets after hours. I suggested I quote for the job before doing the work, the reply was That's not necessary, you won't cheat us. - An easy to collapse button. The stroller I have now is so hard to collapse, you have to pull up on a lever then squeeze a handle and the handle gets stuck. I like have two drink holders at the top of the stroller, it's convenient for times we go to the park or a big public place like the zoo. I can put my water bottle in one and my oldest daughter's water bottle in the other. An adjustable seat back, so if the baby is tired I can lay her down. If she's alert I can sit her up. I like the ones that you can position it to any angle, so if your baby isn't quite supporting their head you can have them a little reclined so their head doesn't fall all over the place but when they get a little older and have more control you can put it pretty much vertical and they can see everything around them. Brakes on the back wheels. This is so important! I took my daughter to the park once and didn't lock the brakes and she started rolling away from me. I grabbed the stroller before it could get too far, but it scared me. Not to mention my older daughter likes to push her around and I can put the brakes on so they can't get away from me.
