- The easiest way to get it right the first time is break off a piece of the pipe and take it into the store. Someone there will make sure you buy the right size fitting. Don't use teflon.

- most everything burns a different color. people are used to seeing wood burn (campfires, etc). there are all sorts of chemicals that all burn different colors. a household example is natural gas (stove) burns blue. i would imagine that the rubber or to an extent, the chemicals in the rubber hose burn that particular color.

- I like Oatey brand Regular clear Advanced cement for PVC. Use a PVC primer first which is usually purple let dry then using the applicator supplied in the can of cement apply a thin even layer to the outside of the pipe and then to the inside of the fitting. Working time is around 30-45 seconds. Insert the pipe into the fitting than give it a half turn. Using excessive amounts of cement is not better. The even layer you have applied will be evenly distributed with the turn of the fitting. GL

- I wouldn't say that. But they have to change things up or something at some point. And I definitely wouldn't compare this to Nexus. Nexus was crap compared to this, not that there wasn't some talent there, but I thought their gimmick was crap, as well as their theme song, I'm not sure Barret was the best choice 2 lead them either. The Shield has more of the Beginning of the NWO in WCW type feel to it. They're just less well known Professional Wrestlers. But the Talent seems to be there. I think they did a good job with the storyline with them saying that they're not the Nexus or the NWO or any version of any other group that's come back to the WWE. Also I think it's highly unlikely that they've made a storyline that has The Shield working for The Rock or The Undertaker. I do think it would be pretty interesting if that was the case. - Is the pipe PVC, or CPVC? It is important to know, since PVC is not made for hot water! The outside diameter of PVC is larger than CPVC, so different fittings are required. I would think it is CPVC pipe, so the outside diameter is 5/8, therefore 5/8 compression angle stops will work. If the pipes are PVC, then you need glue on male adapters, and female threaded angle stops. I suggest getting the branch side of the valves to be 3/8 compression joints also. These are easier to work with, and more readily available, than flare fittings. If your pipes are PVC, I highly suggest replacing them with heat resistant pipe, or you will wake up some morning with a house full of water, after the pipe melts. Good luck!

- I am a plumber and you do not want to use an all cpvc adaptor you are asking for trouble they will certainly leak. plus it is better to use thread sealent paste rather than the tape this is because the tape has a habit of coming undone when screwing the pipe together. If you mess up and put the tape on in the wrong direction you have to take it off and start over with the paste you don;t you get it right everytime. The second link is a picture of the type of fitting you will need. The first is to explain why you need a cpvc to metal adaptor not just cpvc adaptor. For a plastic-to-steel pipe transition (Fig. 3), you'll need a male adapter that will secure the plastic unthreaded pipe to the female-threaded steel pipe fitting. This adapter has a glueable hub on one end to accept the plastic pipe, and brass male pipe threads on the other end to screw into the galvanized fitting. For plastic pipe (CPVC), do not use the all-plastic adapters to screw onto the metal pipe, for these may leak. Although the CPVC fittings with brass at the threaded section are more expensive, they are definitely worth it.
