A . Rattan, the rattan we use for our product is only the highest quality manmade fiber, as PE rattan, this kind

- Q: I bought an ikea Ektorp sofa two years ago.In the first year itself, I noticed feather leaking out of the sofas, it seems Ikea uses feathers in their cushions.Anyway when I was about to wash, I removed the slipcovers and there was just so much feathers that have leaked out. - The Ektorp sofa has an awful reputation. I almost bought one last year but I did some research first and I'm glad I did! All the problems you've experienced are the similar to the stories I read. Apparently, the covers are well known for fading. I would try to take it back and get a refund or at least a replacement sofa. Good luck.
- Q: My son, who's in fifth grade, had his friend over for a sleepover. The friend was sleeping on our five-hundred dollar couch, and during the night he had a wetting accident. The couch was completely ruined. Now his parents refuse to pay for the damage to the couch. They say it's the risk we run when there's a sleepover. What should I do? I'm considering taking them to small claims court or taking out an ad in the paper and telling everyone that their son wets the bed if they don't pay. - Get the sofa professionally cleaned and Btw it's not the kids fault for pissing on your sofa while he was asleep the parents of the boy who peed on your sofa should have taken the responsibilities to tell you that he was a bed-wetter and should have sent with him diaper's or under jams for him to put on before going to sleep. I wouldn't take out an ad in the paper to spread the word that so and so's son is a bed-wetter and wont pay me for the damage done it could ruin the boys friendship. I think your a shallow cold hearted person for being so shallow it's just a piece of furniture that can be cleaned come on seriously why make a big deal out of nothing.
- Q: So healthy urine Track infection free cats.. who gets love attention, food water, 2 private litter boxes one self cleaning one standard. I have 4 cats, all spayed. I don't know what's wrong.. they don't pee anywhere but my living room mainly on my sofa when it's covered with plastic or fabric... otherwise under it or in the opposite corner. I don't know what's going on with them.. it's been months.. of a nearly daily occurance. - They are probably peeing on it still because it smells like their urine. Cats will generally go in the same spot. Try moving the sofa to another room for a while and completely cleaning it. Keep the door closed so the cats cannot get near it. Clean the floor really well also. Cat urine is really, really hard to get out, so you'll have to really steam clean it. Then put their litter boxes where the couch was. You might even try putting a rag that you've wiped up their urine with in the litter so they smell it. Good luck. When we bought our house, there was a corner in one of the bedrooms where a cat had peed, and we didn't know it until after we bought the place, because the previous owners had it covered and air freshners in there. We had to replace the carpet and actually bleach the wood under it to get rid of the smell.
- Q: I want to know how high your end table needs to be in relation to your sofa. Also what are the appropriate heights for the coffee table and console table in relation to the sofa height. I know it has something to do with the seat height and the arm height. THanks!
- End tables should be just a bit lower than the arms of a sofa. The reason for this is that 1. You won't easily knock things off the tables 2. You won't have a hard time placing things on it or picking things off of it (like a glass of red wine, etc.) As for a coffee table in front of your sofa, ideally, it will be at the same height as the part of the couch you sit on. Again, for the same reasons. A console table will ideally be at least 2 inches below the back of the sofa and no more than 3.5 inches below. Again, the same reasoning applies. - A couch is very similar to a sofa. Derived from Middle French, a couch is an article of furniture for sitting or reclining. Sofa, taken from the Arabic suffah, is a long upholstered seat usually with arms and a back. but i think sofa and a couch is just the same. It's just that, some people prefer to use the word couch.

- Today it is called microfiber but it is a man made replacement fabric that simulates mohair. Mohair was used big time up until the 50s because it is so durable. But its cost when up so high it was priced out of the market. ???????????

- You may want to purchase a futon sofa cushion. The cushion should be the thickest one to purchase. It is about 10 and cost around $100- $200 in USD. Or contact a furniture store to help. I know those things get worn pretty quickly when you use it for every day use. P. S. Keep the old cushion for greater support if you find one trhat fits your needs and hopefully it will help the new cushion stay in shape longer too. I recycle what I can, so I hope this works for you.
