- Q: Ok, the bottom cabinets (vanity) is 60" wide and the the sink or vanity top is 61" wide dual bowl cultured marble. The vanity and vanity top in question is my profile pic or avatar and I had a house fire and now I have to find this sink and cabinets to have it replaced. Except I bought it from a private seller and now I don't have any idea who makes it or where I can find it and I've been looking for days and I'm going a little crazy. Any help would be so awesome and you would be awesome. Thanks
- A top for a 60' vanity is standard which as you say is going to be 61' wide and 22' deep. Just because it is very standard does not mean it can be found in every store. A top for a 42' vanity also will never ever be found but it is readily available. The biggest rapists in the retail world, Home Depot and OKorders will special order this for you but not only will you pay top top dollar but you will wait a couple months for it. Instead go to a plumbing supply company. The biggest and best choice would be Ferguson which nearly every major city has a location. Any plumbing supply store will either have it in stock or get it in just a few days. You should be in for about $119 to $129 for this top. Good luck

However, the geniuses who built my home built the space for the vanity (between a regular wall and a half-wall beside the toilet) exactly 60' wide. So while the vanity will squeeze in, the vanity top won't. I am thinking I will have to end up removing the half-wall, but I want to do as little work as possible. Is there a way to shave an inch off the wall? Anybody think of any ideas? BTW, the vanity top is a marble top, so I doubt I can shave an inch off that.....Thanks in advance.
- why don't you build it into the wall since you are going to have to remove it and ..hopefully there is no beams.. oh the outlet I just read... lets hope the electrical can run under it..or I would consult with someone who works with marble... building it into the wall or even changing the form of the wall may de-value your house.. I would consider a new vaniy..sadly

- If you do not centre it with the plumbing, the drain, hot and cold piping will have to be extended and this will likely use extra space inside the cabinet. You already are losing 6 inches of storage space in the cabinet. Place a towel rack on that side so the towels hang down ito the 3 inch space.
