- Q: I am repairing one leg of a mortise ant tenon teak chair. The joint has come loose and I dont really want to take the whole chair apart to fix one leg. I know you are supposed to rub the joint with acetone before gluing in up. The problem with that is that I cannot do a good enough job of cleaning the wood as the mortise and tenon is just loose and there is no real way of taking it apart.My question, id there a way of getting the glue sufficiently in the joing without taking the chair apart. - Try Murphy's Oil Soap (found in local grocery or mass merchant) and a non-scratch pot scrubber (it's like plastic steel wool). This should take off dirt, dust, and gunk without harming the natural finish.
- Q: I've play flute for 8 years now, piccolo for 6. Last year when playing for chairs I got 2nd chair. I got absolutely no solos nor piccolo parts. - I just fixed a wobbly stool and now it is all tight again. I used a product from the hardware store and it has a name that is something like Chair-fixer or chair-tight. It is on the glue aisle. It turned out to be a big bottle of superglue! But it worked! I used it on every leg and rung and I used up the whole bottle, but it was worth it! Just be sure to follow the directions, mainly so that you won't spill the superglue on the surrounding areas. Good luck!

- The problem with a Ball chair is that you have to try to keep good posture all the time and that is very hard to do. The kneeling chair is the same way. Research has shown that the average person can only keep good posture for about seven minutes, before they start to slouch. You should just get a good chair with good lumbar support and a high back to make sure that you keep your head against the back and not forward toward the screen. The key thing with lower back pain and chairs is that we were not meant to sit in a chair for five hours straight. One should take breaks as often as possible to stretch and walk around. I really didn't answer your question, because I don't recommend either one. Hope this helps.

- Print those pics out and put an add on your local community noticeboard. Try one outside of a shopping centre or grocery store. They look a little retro. Papasan chairs were really big in the 70's so someone probably has one they want to get rid of in their garage or spare room etc. That way you'll get it for a garage sale price too. I've also seen chairs like this in alot of display homes. This furniture is usually rented and when they are finished with them they end up in clearance stores. Ive bought from these before and they are quite cheap and furniture is still like new. You could do a search for one in your local area or ask staff in the exhibition/display homes where they send their furniture. Good luck :)
