- Q: Like to know if anyone has used kitchen cabinets for a bathroom vanity at a finished height of 36" and had problems with it size in the bathroom. I read another old post that said it was too big for her she was 5' 2" and so am I. Said getting close to the mirror was a problem. Anyone done this.
- The height of the kitchen cabinet is not really the problem, but the depth can be problematic for some people. Most kitchen base cabinets are 24 inches deep, where bathroom cabinets can be 14, 16, 18', etc. If you use the kitchen cabinet, do you have a vanity ready for this? It would be a huge sink. If you're remodeling, I'd suggest going to check out samples of bathroom vanity cabinets. The depth of the vanity varies and cultured tops can be any size. They are always on sale at Home Depot. Consider something that is not deep and something you can live with. Another option would be to consider a pedestal sink and these can be very shallow in depth. You should consider doing some customizing since you will be both using this. My wife is 5'3' using a pedestal sink and uses the mirror just fine. I had a mirror cabinet mounted 3' OKorderr than standard and she's happy with the results. If you have that extra kitchen cabinet, don't use it in the bathroom. It will work better in the garage. It will save you grief in the long run because as you get older, you won't want to lean over the sink to get to the mirror.

- Q: Need some help with placement. How far from the back wall do you place recessed lights? I think I have them spaced right just unsure of how far back. My vanity counter will be 73.5" long. Installing (3) 3" 50 watt lights over the vanity. I pretty much decided to put one light on center 36.75" from side wall and the other two 18" to each side. Does that sound good? But, how far from the back wall? I would like the light to wash down the wall and reflect the light as well. I know I will need to find some other wall sconce lights for around the mirror but would like to make correct decision on the recessed for now

- If you are building (new) the builder should provide the option of getting the rooms that you want. Almost always the owner's suite is higher (2011-2012), even as the bedrooms are smaller (some as little as 9x9). Why would you build with out the formals that you would not even get with the 8 yr ancient condominium? So far as insulation, the 2003 condo is probably going similar to the 2012 (or which you can add extra). If the financial institution has misplaced over 100k, then its fairness that must finally recuperate. Money-wise, sounds just like the 2003 is a greater deal.

What is the best way to allow the heat to escape from my vanity and into the room?The vanity is 30" wide and the room is in total about 8.5 feet by 4.5 feet (floor space only, not including tub and shower)Is it OK to cover this section of the pipe with insulation? - Either put the vanity in a different place or move the heat register. You will trap the heat inside the vanity, those registers only work well if air can move through them, creating a convection current. It can be a real pain to drain the system and move the baseboard, then refill and get the air out. Seriously consider putting the vanity elswhere or install a pedestal sink.

Well I've tried pretty much everything I can think of to get it off and it's stained. Now my aunt is pissed, as I knew she would be, and I need to replace the door where the dye stained.Does anyone know how much it costs to replace JUST the door.
