- Q: the work is being done in pa want to confirm to code
- 16' to 18' and the kitchen needs a clean out ( two tees stacked , one drain , one fip adapter and plug for clean out). Code says 6' off floor and no higher than necessary. You need to have room to attach a ptrap on the sinks before the drain .Good luck!
- Q: What is a bathroom vanity?
- it is usually the cabinet that houses the sink and has a mirror
- Q: Home to repair the bathroom, but do not make the bathroom cabinet is good or do the marble countertops plus the audience basin. Seek expert advice ~
- Do the price of marble and iron plus iron shelf more appropriate, relatively cheaper point to see what you like, and not too much difference with it
- Q: The newer vanities with cabinets/legs look nice, but do they create problems with cleaning-- around the four places the legs rest on the floor, for example.

- Q: I am trying to remove a 'generic' type of dual sink vanity installed when the home was built. I see no screws securing it to the wall. Could it just be sitting there, caulked in place? I was hoping to keep it intact to use as a workbench, but if I have to start breaking it up, that's okay too :)
- most vanities are held in place by the weight of the sink with caulking around the outside of the vanties.it depends on who put it in but look at the wall behing the vanity there could be screws holding it in place.if you start to tear it out you may tear out the drywall too.take care trying to get it out because if there are nails or screws holding it against the wall you may be replacing drywall too.also make sure you disconnect all plumbing before you take it out.
- Q: My wife and I are building a new bathroom and my wife wants to place our new vanity against the shower glass wall. I say leave a few inches between the shower and the wood vanity so that air is not trapped causing mold and mildew problems. What are your thoughts?
- Just from a design stand point . . . the purpose of a glass enclosure is to alleviate the 'cramped' feeling . . . placing a vanity too close to another structure defeats the purpose . . .
- Q: i want to find importers of bathroom vanity?
- On your vanity, try to find the manufacturer's name, sometimes they may have an address or even a phone number as well. Look up the manufacturer on the internet or in a trade directory, contact them and ask them if they have a distributor in your country for that particular model and they will give you the answer.
- Q: Bathroom cabinet is generally what material?
- Solid wood: rubber wood, catalpa wood, red oak. PVC, bamboo, artificial stone
- Q: I have an outdated bathroom vanity (double sink) that I'd like to update but on a budget. The counter top and sink is beige in color (which matches the toilet and bathtub) and the wood cabinets underneath is oak (with a bit of grooved paneling). I can't afford to get all white fixtures so I thought I'd re-stain or paint the oak in a dark chocolate brown or dark walnut (?) or even almost a black just to give a good contrast in color. What do you think of the color combo? Beige sink, counter top with dark wood? or what do your think of a dark green or blue wood stain?I will be updating the faucet fixtures to silver and re-tiling the showers in a blue/green hue.thanks!

- Q: My master bathroom vanity is very outdated...I think it was put in when the house was built in 1981. I was originally planning on buying a vanity to replace it from somewhere like Lowes or Home Depot, but Ive run into a problem. My current vanity is 54 inches, but so far Ive only seen 48 inch and 60 inch vanities at home stores. I considered using a 48 inch, but I dont feel it would look right. I also know having one custom built is a possibility, but I dont want to spend a fiortune.
- You could order a custom size. But the easy solution is to get a standard size for the vanity sink base (VSB) like a 36. Then you could put a VDB18 next to it- vanity drawer bank 18 wide- and you'd havve 54, and plenty of storage and function (and an off center sink, which I personally would like but I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't...) Or a VSB30 and a 12 on each side, or whatever combination fits your style. Either a cabinet shop or even somewhere like Home Depot can help you plan it in standard sizes. That way, you may get stock items, which is faster, but you definitely avoid the modification upcharges for special sized and stuff. Also a note. If your plumbing and stuff allows it, you might consider regular kitchen cabinets. A lot of our customers prefer 36 height (standard kitchen) in the bathroom instead of the lower vanity height. I'm only 5'6 and I don't like regular short vanities! And you might save money there, as they might stock more kitchen sizes than vanity sizes.
