- Q: I have a Dell Vostro 1500, and the keyboard stopped working. It was working fine until I went on vacation for a week, and when I turned it on it ran diagnostic tests. It basically looks like a blue screen, and a loading bar. Then there is a bunch of colors on the screen and it asks can you see the color bars? (yes/no) The problem is I can't press either, because the keyboard doesn't work! How do I know if the keyboard works or not? Well, it turned on once without doing the tests, and it was then when I realized only a few keys on the keyboard work, sometimes. Anyway any help given would really help alot!!! Thanks!!!!
- there is no way of testing keyboard other than trying to press keys and see if they function. you can use external keyboard to finish the tests in diagnotic. and if your keyboard has failed. you will have to replace it. you can find one cheap on OKorder or amazon. just type vostro 1500 keyboard in the search. they are not so difficult to replace
- Q: Hi, I know how to type Korean with my keyboard and I know Korean keyboards are set up differently from QWERTY keyboard.Is there a way for non-native speakers to type Korean more easily on a QWERTY keyboard? - Q: i have this computer that kills your keyboard. i plug everything in right, put a new hard drive into it, and it doesn't start up. there is nothing, then when you plug the keyboard into another computer, keyboard doesn't work. my 1st question is why? why does it kill it? keyboards have no memory, so how can it kill it? i put the same hard drive and keyboard into another computer, and keyboard doesn't work. i switch hard drives and it still doesn't work. how can that happen? my 2nd question is what would make it kill the keyboards? can't be a virus, as they can only be saved to hard drives, right? i switched hard drives and it still doesn't work. so wtf is going on?

- If I were you, I'd decide on something (at first) that's inexpensive, and a line that's real easy to learn on is Casio. Although they're organs, it's an easy way to introduce yourself to the keys. Also, when I was growing up, my parents bought me an upright piano, which is a lot cheaper than a grand, and has the same basics, which of course, is 88 keys. Are you going to take lessons, or play by ear? If you choose the latter, I learned on a book that had some really old (lame, but simple) songs, and taught you to play by learning the keys and chords by color. If you have the money, lessons are great and so are grands. Either way, it's a great instrument.
