Connector view for the GM linear EGR valve are as follows: Pin# A=gray/w black wire,Pin# B=solid black wire,Pin# C=brown/w white wire,Pin# D=brown/w white wire(see note) and Pin# E=solid red wire! NOTE since pin C+D have the same color wire the correct wire must be identified by checking the voltage with the KOEO (key on engine off) the right brown/w white wire should have a 5volt reference voltage with the key on engine off! Q:i bought a programable thermostat that says it needs a c wire to be able to use the remote...i dont have one of these wires on my old thermastat but im kinda understanding the c wire was just to power a clock on certan thermostats is there a way to rig a c wire to power what i need???
the c wire is the common wire on your 24 volt control circuit.... wire used by some thermostats to power clocks or lights...... if you have extra wires in your thermostat wire cable it should be a blue wire and will hook up in your furnace to the blue wire or will be hooked to the c terminal on your thermostat wire connection board in your air handler...you can use any color wire in the cable that you are not using as long as you connect it up the way i just mentioned..

Chances are that it would be far more reliable to use a 6 gauge wire. The fuses should be fine, but check to make sure they aren't titanium-based, as they could possibly corrode with the setup you have going. Also, when you rewire for the first time, make sure to check the connections for the first 10-15 uses to make sure they aren't interfering with any radio signals, as this is a hazard.

You probably have a red, white, and black wires first check with a voltage tester the black and whiteor red and white wires to see if you have power between those 2 wire if you dont you cant use it to feed the switch it may have been a 3- way switch. If you have power take the white wire from the light and splice with the white in the three wire and the black from the light goes to one of the screws on the single pole switch and the black or red from the 3 wire goes to the other screw on the switch ,does not make a differnce which goes where and make sure grounds are spliced (bare copper or green wire) A BLACK WIRE IS NEVER A NEUTRAL AND YOU NEVER GET RID OF THE GROUND IF YOU DONT KNOW THE ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS DONT ANSWER THEM YOUR BAD ADVICE COULD KILL SOMEONE
Q:im hooking a amp up and i need to run my remote wire to my ignition wire
I have wired up alot of amps and the remote wire on the amp should be connected to the power antenna/amp turn on wire on the stereo head unit. This allows the amp to only turn on when the stereo is on. If you are connecting an amp to a factory stereo,I see why you would need to find an ignition wire. You need to probe the fuse panel with a 12 volt test light to find a circuit that only comes on with the key. Usually there is a spare accessory fuse location just for this. Buy a fuse tap or specialty fuse from a auto parts store to connect your remote wire to. There is very little current draw to turn on the amp,so almost any circuit on the fuse panel will work if it is only on with the key.
