- The best way to figure out where and how much lead is in your chair is to contact the company that either makes the chair or sold you the chair. They should be able to provide you further information. The warning specifically states California because California passed a low called Proposition 65 that requires all products sold in the state to identify whether or not they contain any chemicals known to cause cancer and/or birth defects. It is not a national requirement, only a CA requirement. To save money, many companies include the label regardless of where the product is sold in the US. It does NOT specify if the chemicals are at a harmful level or not, only that they are present. A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. For further information about Proposition 65 and what chemicals CA requires to be identified, I would recommend googling it.

It's something you want to do (and it's safe - unless of course you fall out or over the chair-lol) I say go for it - I always spin around and 'dance' with a chair with wheels. It's fun. - Why Herman Miller? I have found the chairs from Global are comfortable and they test the chairs well. I have had a couple of them over the years. The ones that were bought for me and came from other places are not as comfortable. One of the chairs was so complicated that it came with a driver disk!

- Q: I'm not really good at physics and if someone can explain me this with easy words, would be great.As you sit on a chair, does the chair an upward force against your butt? how much force does it exert? In what direction?
- actually yes and no. the force of the chair is a resistance force. is a resistance force because gravity is pulling the person down however the chair stop him from going all the way down. an example of a such thing is a sheet of paper and a book. hold both the book and the paper and let go of them at the same time. you'll notice that the book would reach the ground first. here the resistant force is the air because the book is heavy air cant stopped it or slow it down. however the paper is much lighter so it can slow it down. an upward force means that it's pushing up instead of just resisting.
