- Hi Lauren, Though the dining room suite sounds very nice to look at, I don;t think I would personally invest in cream color suede seated chairs. I do not think they will stand the test of time and use. Scotch guard does not change the feel to the hand of the fabric. But, I think there is a false sense of security with the product. We think it will work and be a stain defender but not always so. Best of Luck in your final decision.

- Try cleaning the chair again I would use carpet cleaner. Put a fan on the chair to see if it dries. I think maybe the water stain has not dried completely. If that does not work have it clean professionally they may have something they can get the stain out of the fabric.

- Q:i tried buying her a scratcher, she uses it, but she still scratches my wood room set chairs. its getting annoying. no matter how much i yell her, does it anyway.
- Cats scratch furniture as a way of marking their territory, out of boredom and for help in taking off the outer layer of their claws. Yelling at kitty will not stop it from the bad scratching behaviour- it will only teach it not to scratch when you are around. Try putting the scratcher next to the chair or next to where the cat hangs out the most or sleeps. Also, you can try things like double stick furniture tape that they sell in pet aisles especially for this purpose or even wrapping aluminum foil around the chair. Making sure that you are also trimming her claws regularly will help with the problem too. Cats are going to scratch on something, so make sure it has some type of suitable post or horizontal scratcher to scratch on and give it lots of positive reinforcement. The particular scratcher you bought may not appeal to kitty- if it is not stable and wobbles when it tries to scratch it will not use it. Also it may prefer a certain type of scratcher (i.e. my cat will not touch the carpet covered scratching post we bought her but can't get enough of her cardboard horizontal scratcher). A healthy dose of catnip on the scratcher will also help to make it more interesting for kitty.
