- Q: I started with one chair. I sanded it first, then wiped, and let it dry, and then i put stain on. And I see a few spots that seems like I didn't sand very good. So, the color is uneven. plus the chair has a plywood part on a back of a seat, it turns pretty ugly. What should I do? Let it dry, and sand it again, then stain it? Or let it dry, put primer and paint over it? CAN I pait it?
- you said refinishing the chairs so I assume they had some type of finish on them previously, If you want to stain them ,you must strip them to do it correctly otherwise the new stain will look uneven, yes you could paint them if that is the look you want,but you will have to prime them first.Plywood will not stain like a species of wood so you will have to put some ,very little stain on a rag and lightly rub some color on and slowly add more until it closely matches the actual wood on the chair ,this can be tricky,if you add too much stain, take a rag and put some paint thinner on it and rub some color out until you get the match you can live with....painting contractor.

- Not alone! I didnt smell the chair, but I know it smells cuz I have noticed before. It is super weird because I am sitting in a used chair for my new job so it is especially gross knowing i am probably smelling someone else! Febreeze hasnt worked nor perfume. The smell always returns. Going to try a few other suggestions and if they dont work I'm putting in for a new chair!
- Q: I hear all the time that a chair seat is improper when riding a horse. I've seen pictures of what it looks like, so I feel like I have a general idea.However, I see riders constantly that ride with what I would associate with a chair seat. Most of the time, this is in western riding - and even western riders that are successfully competing. Sometimes the seat is really extreme.Now, I know there are differences between western and english riding, but I was always under the impression that a chair seat is bad because the rider has less control and it puts pressure on sensitive areas of the horses back. Does the western saddle just distribute the weight better?I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to horses, but I have ridden on occasion. I personally prefer to have my legs under me more as I feel like I have better balance and more control over what I am doing.So, what am I missing?
- I cannot answer for certain, but I can give what I have experienced. I ride with a slight chair seat (not as bad as I used to, but my legs basically won't allow me to get my legs perfectly beneath me while not standing in the stirrups, joints won't let me at this moment). I actually feel like I have better shoulder control, especially with horses in training, when I have a slight chair seat due to my legs being closer to the horses shoulder and I have a deeper seat (I've never found a horse to be in pain due to chair seat, now I ride gaited horses so we don't trot, it may be different if you do have to trot) which allows for better seat signals (in my experience).

- Hi Goodadvor123, I think your best move, is to ask the chair if it has any feelings for you. For it could be a player, and it could be, that it doesn't mind anyone sitting on him, when I say this, it's because I'm not sure what sex the chair is. Anyway my answer is to a boy chair. And of course chairs have different methods of showing how they like someone. I guess it likes girls sitting on it, what chair wouldn't. But I don't think you should get jealous about this, it's a natural thing with chairs. So if you feel this way about the chair, I think it only best that you sit on it almost all the time. After all that's how you get to know a chair. It may look like a perfectly good chair, but it has seen other girls. And from the chairs position that's not a bad angle to see a girl. Generally they are quite faithful, if you can sit on it a good few times. I can see you're having a hard time with it, but just how soft do you want a chair. I think you should take a step back, and look at the situation, and the chair. Is it staring into your eyes, or does it give you a little hug when you sit down on it. Because these things are telling you something about the way the chair feels you. You really need to get the chairs feelings about you. For you are just wasting your time, if the chair doesn't have feelings for you. Anyway find out exactly how it feels, then you know where you stand when you're sitting on the chair. - It would be easier to respond if I knew what type of restaurant will it be (french, italian, casual, upscale etc.) but for a upscale place #3 seems very good. It would be absurd in a pizza place though. They are the only ones that is different from what I see in restaurant everyday. #1 is too much school chairs, only would be OK if you have an cafeteria. #2 is good for a sandwich store or a pizza place, but metal is a hard thing to clean up, and it gets rusty in time (especially if they will be placed outside) I would go for #3.
