Q:I have a rocking chair and one of the (spreaders maybe) dowels that runs across the two rockers under the seat came out. It's not broken but I can't figure out how it came out or how to put it back in unless I take the whole thing apart. (Don't really want to do that) Thank you!

More than likely came out when someone was sitting in it and rocking, causing the sides to flex out some, letting the cross support fall out. This type of thing happens a lot in rocking chairs. Get a friend to pull the legs apart and slip back into place. Be ready to fix or it will happen again. You need something to help tighten up the hole it goes in. String works pretty good, paper matches or toothpicks work good too. A little shot of carpenters glue will help put it back together together. After its all back together, find something to tie the legs together, tightly. Then allow the glue to dry. Best of luck

I think that so many of us during holidays think of those empty chairs, Sue. It is hard for me not to think of them as both my parents died on Christmas morning 5 years a part. I guess as we go through life there will always be those empty chairs and special places in our hearts for those who are no longer here with us on earth. And yes, sometimes we do indeed feel the loss of those who once sat in those chairs and were part of our life.But the memories do live on, although they sometimes hurt..Today I shared Thanksgiving with friends who lost a mother, brother and a baby within the last 6 months. But in spite of this there was sincere thankfulness for having been a part of each of their lives. Hugs to you and yours..

Q:i have this desk chair that i sit in a good bit while on the computer and it has a cushioned seat like most do, but i've sat in it so much that there is a depression where i sit all the time and it feels like i'm sitting on wood instead of an actual chair. is there anyway to get the cushion back in the chair?

Hotel chairs are usually mass produced, so there will be thousands of them, unless they were custom to that hotel, then there were only a few. Further research will give you some sort of an answer. Or, find a high end antique store and ask their opinion as to the uniqueness of the chair.

Q:I found this chair sitting in our garage for about a year now and I want to put it in my bedroom. The problem is that its kinda dirty.. Its like a cream color but it has dark marks on the arms its from my uncles tools. It's not a leather or recliner chair its just a regular sitting chair. I buy a cleaner at Walmart, Dollar General or Dollar Tree that should work on your chair. It is called LA's Totally AWESOME. It comes in gallon jug, 1/2 gallon or a spray bottle. It's a yellow color liquid. It is very cheap and can be used to clean many things. Use it straight, do not mix with water. I have used it for years on many things and LOVE IT~!!! .....please do not use bleach on the chair.
