Q:What happens if a clear lenticular (autostereoscopic) sheet is cut to size and placed over a 26 hdtv screen? Is there any type of 3D effect? (These type sheets are commonly used on greeting cards/trading cards/wall posters for a 3D-depth effect.) Thanks
It wouldn't work as the picture underneath needs be printed in a special way too.
Q:Can plastic sheets be used as barriers?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used as barriers to separate or block off areas, as they are lightweight, flexible, and can effectively prevent the transmission of dust, dirt, or liquids.
Q:I want to make a pond for my turtles but I don't want to spend to much money on regular pond liner so I'm thinking about using black plastic sheeting instead. Is it good or bad? Is it too thin?
it worked good for me here in florida till the wading birds walked in and poked holes in the plastic with their toenails ..then i made the walls strait up and down and put sand on the bottom that solved that problem
Q:What is the minimum temperature that plastic sheets can withstand?
The minimum temperature that plastic sheets can withstand varies depending on the type of plastic. However, most common plastic materials can typically withstand temperatures as low as -40°C to -60°C.
Q:Is landscaping cloth or heavy plastic sheeting best under pebbles ?
Heavy Duty Plastic Sheeting
Q:I'm using it to make a model, so I only need a small sheet, nothing industrial in scale. A place to buy it near downtown LA would be optimal. From what I've found, the material is known as corrugated plastic or hollow board in some places.
Some where between 25 30 I stopped looking forward to an age.
Q:Under the temp. probe, and under the heater, obv. And these go under the liner, right? Electricity and water together = bad deal!So have I found the right answer?Bed is in chilly room in cold house, soft-sided with wooden frame. Will of course be using woolen, polyester, blankets on top, or maybe put the fake eiderdowns under bottom sheet and use the wool etc. over top sheet. Point is that bed will stay covered with warmth-keepers just about all the time.Am thinking of running the foil up along the side-walls. I intend to tape the sheets together into a complete large sheet.Had planned to use insulating rigid foam but decided was too much work to replace the home-made frame. Am hoping that the foil will reflect heat back into the water, not out into room.Furnace is forced-air, and electric bill in winter is Awful! IMO, at least.
I doubt aluminum foil has much, if any, R-value, but I'm not an HVAC guy. I do know that pink styrofoam doesn't have much R-value unless you go several inches thick. Maybe try surrounding the bed in about 6 of the styrofoam on all sides. Use HVAC foil tape to seal any seams. Then mask it all in something like tileboard.
Q:What is the difference between wooden skis and plastic products?
Skis are the carrier of skiers' progress. The ski board is mainly composed of multi layer structure, mainly including elastic plate, anti torsion box structure, plate core, glass fiber composite material, macromolecule material base plate, metal edge blade and so on.
Q:Can plastic sheets be used for skylight replacements?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used as replacements for skylights. They are often used as a cost-effective alternative to traditional glass skylights, providing similar functionality while offering benefits such as durability, lightweight, and flexibility in installation. However, it is essential to consider the specific requirements of the skylight, such as insulation, UV resistance, and fire safety, before opting for plastic sheets as replacements.
Q:I am making a craft project. I went to a craft store and purchased a yard of plastic in the fabric dept. I cut two 6X6 pieces and glued them with a water resistant glue. I allowed 24hrs. I then put water inside and a few hrs later noticed it was soaking through the plastic and leaking. I need a glue that will hold water inside. I hope this clarifies my question.
The glue you used most likely hadn't dried completely. When you put two pieces of plastic together, place some of the glue on both pieces and let them set up and become tacky, then put them together. Take some clothes pins and put them around the edges on the glued parts to press the pieces together. You will need to wait at least 48 hours drying time, as air can not get to the glue using plastic and it takes longer than the label says.
