G1- is pretty good , touch screen and full keyboard. don't get the t-mobile dash I had that phone and went through like 4-5 of them.

The German mobile phone network works different from that in the US: Once you have a German SIM (contract or prepaid) in your phone, the European scheme applies which is: Caller pays all, you don't have to pay for airtime. The only problem you might have is that your phone is locked to a T-Mobile contract, so you maybe should by a used mobile (up from 35 euros) and a prepaid sim (up from 10 euros) and submit your new or alternative German numbers to your friends. You can save lots of money by acting like that, instead of feeding t-mobile with roaming charges. IF you move with a German sim to another European country, roaming charges may apply. But it would be stupid not to buy another prepaid sim there

This one is easy. Intercept! It's the most expensive of the three, but it is the only Android phone. The Rumor is crap, and the Curve, in my opinion, sucks compared to an Android phone. If you want a cheaper contract service, go with Sprint (who owns Virgin's towers). You'll pay about the same as going with Virgin (70/mth with 450 minutes, Unlimited Txt, Unlimited Web, Unlimited Sprint TV) and you'll not have to worry if you forget to put money on your phone.because if you forget with Virgin, your phone will cut off. Also, phone wise, the Intercept will run you as low as 20.00 while with Virgin, it'll be more like 250.

If you have Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, you need to have some means of connecting the phone to the computer. You have three choices - Infrared, Cable and Bluetooth. Also, you need to have your phone enabled to allow data transfer. If you have Cingular service, this is enabled already, if Verizon, then you will have to get the data transfer unlocked. Once data transfer is unlocked, the Phone Tools program will walk you through the setup for the phone. If you can't figure this out, then you need to study the help file for the program and learn how to use it. I would normally be happy to tell you how to use it, but not knowing your computer and your phone, I can't. I don't think we have a mobile based compiler in the market as yet. Mobile devices are short on RAM and processor power, not to mention they constantly have to perform the job of a phone. So, the devices are not used to do programing, as programing itself is a tedious job for a processor (running IDE, debuggers, compilers, linkers etc.). So, for the time being, I think you would have to be content on using mobile phones as phones and not for programing. Though you can Microsoft Visual Studio for mobile device programing. Have fun
