- Heat pad has two ways to control the heatThe most simple one is a mechanical heat sensing control that turning on and off frequently to control the time that allow power goes through the heat padThe more complex one uses Triac chip that control the power angle passes through heat padBoth do not contain heat sensor to monitor the pad actual temperature because both control devices are hanging outside along the power cord and a few feet away from the heat padThey are not control the voltage !!!
