1, this pump flow reduction is not the reason for speed. Because it is not matching the motor frequency conversion, the frequency of power supply unchanged, the motor speed will not change.2, the flow of water pump down, the reason may be that the impeller due to cavitation or wear and tear smaller, second, the gap between the impeller housing change, and the impeller plug foreign bodies, and some of the suction port leak.3, it is possible that the whole system resistance increases, so that the work point of the pump left.

water pumps sometimes just go. just like most other auto parts the water pump will give little or no notice. get it to a garage quick!!! call around in your local area for the best estimate and go with them. replacement can be somewhat costly depending on your car. don't forget to replace the timing chain at the same time. if your car is close to the 80,000 mile mark the timing chain could go soon. to get to the water pump you remove most of the parts in the front end so you might as well replace the timing chain while you already payed to go that far. timing chains go for around$60-$80. i replaced my own in a truck a few years ago ,so take my advice and do both if you plan on keeping your car. i'm from n.h., we have alot of deer related accidents. i hope he was tasty!!!

Why not call your mechanic for an estimate? He's (or she's) already familiar with your vehicle. Also, they may determine that it's something other than you water pump.

Go to sears and get a shallow well pump that has a foot valve and runs on 115vac perhaps a 1.5 hp ..if the head(the uphill part plus the pipe loss ) gets to great you might need a lager hp but a 1.5 with a 25 ft of head should give 9gpm at 40 psi . the pump is held on with 6mm x 100 thread pitch nuts and bolts. the best tool to use will be a 1/4 inch drive ratchet and short extension with a 10 mm deep socket [6 point] these bolts are 12-15 ft bs. of torque if you snug bolts down evenly and use only moderate pressure as a final tighten you should be alright. after srarting all bolts let pump relax so the top seal is not crushed
