- In general you use fittings for all branch connections. There are some low pressure non hazardous applications where stubins can be used but they do not always save any money in terms of total installed costs. If you always use fittings then you do not have to stop and do the calculations necessary to assure that the stubin connection meets the code(s). In very large piping at low pressure, with normal temperatures and low mechanical stresses, stubins can be economical but they must be used with caution if the fluid is potentially toxic or flammable. When I talk about fittings, that includes weldolets, threadolet and similar forged branch connections. In the case of large pipe manifolds designed for very high pressure with multiple connections, the use of custom made forgings can save costs.

- It's totally depends on the amount of fixtures and connectors you need. Every job is different and the amount of material as well. You never stated who is doing the job. If you are doing it, you must have the proper skills and tools to complete it. On the event that you are doing it, just measure and buy enough connector fittings and pipes to complete the job. If you are missing something, just go back to Lowe's or Home Depot and keep buying as needed. The store will take back any unused material and give you credit for. If you do not have neither tools or skills to do it yourself, then you must call one of those money hungry plumbers in town to do it for you! Good luck!

- Make sure you get the pipe fittings glued on well, especially if this is a crawlspace or somesuch where you might not detect a new leak quickly. Next time you cut the pipe, glue in a clean-out fitting. You would still need to own, rent or borrow a snake, but having clean-outs every 50 or 100 ft will make that a lot easier.

- Maybe, maybe not..most likely not. Physical fitment, is fine and would work, HOWEVER, the 04/05 pipes most likely do not the O2 sensor fittings needed for the 11 closed-loop fuel injection O2 sensors.simply buy pipes for YOUR bike and have proper tuning done!!!!
