1. Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve Description:
A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required. The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe, passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the disc is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is always induced in the flow, regardless of valve position.
2.Main Features of the Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve
a)Cast hole. Flange connection meet ANSI 125/150# DIN PN10/16 BS4504 PN10/16 in the meanwhile.

5.FAQ
1. What is manual wafer butterfly valve?
A: Wafer style is the more common of the two and is less expensive than the lug style. The wafer style butterfly valve is just about the standard. It ís so common that no one even bothers to use the word "wafer" when ordering a butterfly valve. It is taken for granted that if a butterfly valve is ordered, a wafer style will be received.
2. How about the Installation of the Wafer Style Butterfly Valve?
A: Butterfly valves are installed by inserting the valve between two flanges using bolts or studs and nuts to hold it all together. This type of installation, of course, makes it impossible to disconnect just one side of the piping system from the valve. That benefit is received using the lug style valve.
3. What is the working principle of manual wafer butterfly valve?
A: A butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.
- Q: How do i use a valve spring compressor. It looks like a c-clamp, so don't tell me how to use a smaller one, but the bigger one. Thanks
- The forked end goes over the valve retainer, the flat end with the screw goes against the valve face. Simply close the handle to compress the spring. You may need to adjust the width of the jaws to fit the retainer and adjust the length of the screw to compress the spring the right amount. Sometimes it helps to gently tap the edge of the retainer with a hammer to loosen the keepers before compressing the spring.
- Q: Check valve; flexible joint `; installation order of electric butterfly valve
- Connect the Songjiang rubber joint from the pump outlet. Check the 1 valve
- Q: Water supply pipe gate valve and butterfly valve which good?
- 2. ball valve: ball valve with a central opening of the ball as the valve heart, the rotation of the ball control valve opening and closing. The ball valve has the advantages of simple structure, light weight compared with the cut-off valve, the sealing surface has the advantages of simple structure, easy processing, good sealing performance, convenient operation, switch quickly, but can not be used to adjust the flow, suitable for high pressure (up to 320 psig) pipeline, at present, the packing material limit, can only be used for 200 DEG C, can also be used a variety of media and the viscosity of the suspension.3. butterfly valve: butterfly valve, also known as turn over plate valve, is a simple structure of the valve. As butterfly valve should not be closely matched with the pipe wall, only applicable to regulating flow, can not be used to cut off the pipeline, often used in conveying air and flue gas pipe to regulate flow. Butterfly valve is with the stem rotation of the circular butterfly plate for headstock parts, in order to achieve the opening and closing action of the valve. Butterfly valve is mainly used with shut-off valve, can also be designed to adjust or cut off and adjust the function. At present, butterfly valves are used more and more in low pressure medium and large diameter pipelines.
- Q: What's the difference between cut-off valve, gate valve and butterfly valve? What's the difference in the working principle?
- Stop valve, leak small, gate valve, leak big, butterfly valve switch fast
- Q: 19 years ago i had a valve repair and now im due to have heart valve replacement. I heard that the metal valve make noise has anyone who has had the metal valve have this type f problem or any other problem with the metal valve it would be a great help if anyone could answer
- Do you want to have kids or have more kids? This is going to be the biggest question you have to answer. The tissue valve will require no treatment after the replacement, other than another replacement in 10-15 years or whenever the valve starts to fail. The mechanical valve will most likely last the rest of your life, but will require the use of anticoagulants that would make any future pregnancy extremely risky. As to the sound many patients complain about hearing the valve clicking in times when it is very silent (dead of night etc.) Most find that keeping a Radio or tv on at a low level solves the problem, Id say in my experience about 50% of patients complain about hearing the clicking. The other issue is that using tissue valves, it is a slightly riskier operation every time you re-open someones chest, due to scar tissue formation. So instead of say 1-3% risk it might be 5% if the person is young and healthy. This is important since the tissue valve will only last 10 maybe 15 years. The atrial thrombus complicates matters, however which valve are they replacing? It might be possible to remove the thrombus at the same time as doing the valve. If not, mo matter what you will be taking warfarin, so the vavle choice really will not matter that much.
- Q: oil coming from valve into turbo charger
- The last two answers were wrong. Duramax motors have a Pcv valve. It stands for positive crankcase ventilation and every engine has one that I am aware of and it's to relieve the air pressure built up in the crankcase from the pistons moving up and down. The Pcv allows atmospheric air pressure inside then crankcase. If there is a lot of air pressure coming out of the Pcv you could have bad valve seals or worn piston rings allowing massive amounts of air being forced into the crank case. The Pcv valve on 2003 and older have the Pcv built into the valve cover. It is a box shape cap that has a spring and diaphragm under it. Old question just thought I would clear that up for the 2 people not so mechanically inclined that answered last.
- Q: Butterfly valve, two-way pressure and one-way pressure what is the difference?
- The positive pressure and the reverse pressure, the pressure when the medium returns
- Q: My quot;check engine soonquot; light came on yesterday and soon after that I took it to the nearest Midas to have the diagnostic test run on it - they stated I needed an ERG valve. I have no clue what it is and was told that it could run $160. - $300. for my 1900 Astro van. what is an ERG valve? I have noticed that my van has a low humming sound when I'm driving it.
- The EGR valve is there to reduce nitrous oxide emissions and lower the temp of the combustion charge. This has the affect of reducing the octane requirement of the engine. This isn't a bad thing. When the valve hangs open, the thing will run bad at idle and could even die. The thing is, the valve could be perfectly fine and the sensor could be bad. Since some states won't give you a sticker if the light is on, you're probably stuck with replacement.
- Q: I need a valve cover gasket replacement because mine is leaking a tremendous amount of oil. The mechanic says it will cost about $269.00 plus tax. I wanted to make sure this figure was the average since I do not know a lot about cars. My car is a Mitsubishi Diamante 2001.
- its a little high at our shop its about $200
- Q: Hey YA! I am looking at getting an 01 Honda Prelude this month and valve adjustment keeps coming up when people discuss this car and other cars as well. What is this? Does it cost a lot to do, and is it important? Thank you!
- Some cars have little hydraulic gizmos to keep the valves more or less where they're supposed to be. Doing without them is, according to some, a tad more precise, but you have to have the valves checked now and then. (On my old Celica, it was a 60k maintenance item.) It will probably run a hair better afterwards.
