Q:Ok so i went to Canadian Tire for some new tires.which somehow gives them the right to listen to my engine(which I locked down) and tell me that my rear rocker panels are rotted away and its not safe to lift the car off the ground. Now I know that I shouldn‘t listen to anything that Canadian Tires says but it piqued my interest. I googled it and nothing. I looked at the repair manual and lo-and-behold rear rocker panel aren‘t even listed anywhere. Is this a typical money grab? Or could they have just gotten the part name wrong? Maybe I should just ask if theres any truth to what they‘re feeding me.
if you cant bend try soldering elbow joints . two 90 degree elbows or see if they make a 180 degree
Q:do gas fork lifts produce more co2 than cars or do cars still produce more?
Does it really matter? There are many, many more cars out there than forklifts. Okay, fine. Consider that forklifts run all day, versus cars that run for maybe 2 hours per day. Consider that cars and forklifts use the same technology. Now. Does THAT answer your question? btw, thanks for the thumbs down.
Q:Wat car would go the highest and for how long
No, but if you took a small old four wheeler with balloon tires and filled the tires with helium you could drive it on water.
Q:Who remembers when you had to access the gas tank of a car by lifting up the license plate?
I have a 1970 Chevy nova and you have to do that I wish all cars have that because it don't make a different what side the gas pump is on. it also give the car a cleaner look by being no door on the side of you body. I was told it was a safety issue because if someone wrecks in the back of your car the tank can blow up.
Q:if so how much would a lift cost?
That's just dumb. Spend a ton of money on 24s, and spend even more money lifting the car. Not to mention that it looks horrible. I say go with something smaller that doesn't require a lift.
Q:Ok, I‘ve been racking my brain trying to figure this problem out with no success. Does anyone know the answer? Here‘s the question:A hydraulic lift is used to raise a car weighing 17000 Newtons. The piston used to raise the car had a cross-sectional area 50 times that of the smaller piston of the lift. What is the size of the force that must be applied to the smaller piston in order to raise the car?
the axles connect to the transmission, so they could have been hurt, but most places will not do that. if your transmission needed replacing, it could mean that lots of things need replacing. I had a shop cut the seal on the ends of the drive shaft in my car, so that they would fail in 6 months. I had no evidence, and no legal case to get them replaced, I was going to confront them and see what I could get, then found out they had been arrested for fraud.
Q:trying to find a good lift kit for my car i want to raise it up but not to much but i was wondering if any good kits anyone knows of like websites or etc but a good picture of an example would be nice if someone could give me any ideas of would work would be nice thanks for your help
Front wheel drive cars are hard to lift because the front drive half shafts severely limit the wheel travel.
Q:first of all, the black cat superstition is true because i saw a black cat a couple days ago before this accident took place. basically i missed a turn, tried to make the turn and hit the curb pretty hard. i can stilll drive the car but the steering wheel is misaligned (its jerked towards the left). Brakes work fine, and no physical damage done to the car were done. It‘s only the steering that is problematic. How much would it cost to get it repaired, and how long would it take? I don‘t want to get ripped of. Thanks guys.
Front End/Alignment Shop. you did damage the Tie-Rod and/or A Arm(s)
