- Q: what is meant by fabric fibre?
- I'll do NO2- as an exampleThe Lewis structure is ON-O with two electron pairs on the left O and 3 electron pairs on the right O and one electron pair on the NBut you could also draw it as O-NOSo, those are the two resonance structuresThe actual is where N has 1.5 bonds to each O on average.
- Q: I have a senior art show for college comming up soon and I have to price all my projects but I am not sure how to go about thatIt's all hand woven items: 2 scarves, 1 hallway rug, 1 shawl, 4 placemats, 2 pursesDoes anyone know how to figure this up or know of a website I can refer too? thanx.
- go to youtube, there are tons of videos to check out, any videos for anything, you name it.
- Q: I'm not pregnant, just ttc, but I don't think I'll be able to give up my uber-hot baths (unless it's bad for the baby of course.) I know hot-tubs are sonsidered a no-no- what about a hot shower? And how hot is too hot anyway? What about heating pads/blankets??)
- I use a soft bristled toothbrush to avoid scratching and a little toothpasteAnd my jewelry shinesIt cleans them wellanother idea is baking soda with a little water to make it like a paste and brush it onto the jewelry that works also.
- Q: I'm doing my science coursework now and want to find out why wool is better than bubble wrap and why bubble wrap is not as good as woolMy teacher said that wool is a better insulator than bubble wrap so please dont say that bubble wrap is a better insulator than wool.Thank you.
- I think as long as you keep it on really low it should be fine for keeping things warm.
- Q: that can make you go against your moral fibre? Well, not quot;go against, quot; but question.your moral fibre.???
- I live in CT alsoI am from the West CoastEven in a climate more moderate CT winters are not moderate we provided heat lamps when the temp was freezingModerate is above freezingWe learned the hard wayIn a coop without insulation or heat all the birds crowded together so tightly that the chicks caught in the middle either suffocated from the pressing of the others for warmth or ended up with brain damage from lack of oxygen in the tight knit of birdsIt is your call.
- Q: If I Take Fiber While I Am Dieting Will It Help? Or Make No Difference?
- Electron configuration is basically the order that the electrons 'reside' around the nucleus of an atomThere is a pattern that it follows, with a few exceptionsTake the atom Lithium for exampleWe can look on the periodic table and see that it is in group 1, and has an atomic number of 3Since we know in neutral atoms that the number of protons is equal to the number of electrons we can say that Li has 3 electronsWe start first by placing the electrons in their ground state (the place with lowest energy) and fill the orbitals in increasing energy levels with electronsthe general pattern of electron filling goes something like this: 1s 2s 2p 3s 3p 3d 4s 4p 4d 4f 5s 5p 5d 5f 6s 6p 6d 7s s orbitals can only have up to 2 electrons in itp orbitals can have up to 6, d orbitals have up to 10 and f orbitals can have up to 14The 1s orbital can only have 2 electrons in itSo we fill that one firstLi 1s2 (the 2 should be a superscript)Now since we know Lithium has 3 electrons we go to the next orbital and fill thatSo the total configuration for Lithium is 1s2 2s1 For atoms with a higher number of electrons (say Neon with 10) you follow the same pattern Ne10 e- so: 1s2 2s2 2p6 Count the number after the orbital letters and make sure they add up to the number of electrons that are required for your atom.
- Q: Have a completely empty attic ( no floor , windows etc.) Just some wiring and insulationHow much to properly convert it to a usable space?
- Depends on what you mean by usable spaceIs it going to be heated? Living space? That's expensive mainly because it's time-consumptiveIt's labor intensive to convert an attic to living space because there isn't much space to work and it takes forever to do anythingIf you just want to slap some flooring down to use it for storage that's relatively cheapHowever.as a former fireman I have seen my share of disasters that were either caused by, or exacerbated by, storing boxes of stuff in the atticDon'tYou're never really going to use the stuff anyway, so you might as well sell it or throw it awayUnless I had a very spacious attic with a very tall ceiling so that I could easily walk around, I just wouldn't do itIf I was building a house, I'd put an attic in where one could play ping-pong and etcup thereBut converting something that's preexisting doesn't often work due to the setup.
- Q: High Fiber Muffin Recipes(prefw/o the use of aluminum AKA baking powder)?
- Aluminum Foil Formula
- Q: I'm new to crochet but have made a few blanketsBut I'm having trouble-my yarn keeps twisting as I try to do a simple double stitch, so that it almost looks like I stitch the top, then the bottom rather than a straight row.Am I missing something or could it be the cheap yarn I'm using?
- All of our fiber products - cords, thread, yarns, etc - are made by twisting fibers togetherThat's why your yarn twistswhen you're doing the double, be sure to run the yarn through the fingers of your other hand to keep the tension evenThat will help it look straighterI think having a good tension is the part you've not yet masteredTalk to three or four others you know who crochet, the more experienced the betterYou can also even ask knitters on this one Ask them how they run the yarn through the fingers on their other hand to keep the tension as they're workingGet them to show youWe all have our little tricksFind one that works for you.
- Q: I need to make one kid two teenager and two adult gifts with stuff around my house what can I make the kids a girl the two teens are boys and the two adults are one woman and one man I have yarn (purple, black, white and pink)wire fabric beads siccorsone needle a little bit of threadso what are some things I can make and I need a pattern please help and it also has to be easy cause I'm thirteen
- Why do cotton garments shrink when you wash them? - There are two kinds of shrinkageProgressive shrinkage occurs when the fiber itself shrinksRelaxation shrinkage is when the fabric shrinksIt is caused by the tension applied to yarns and fabrics during constructionThe tension is released when the fabric is washedMost cotton fabric shrinkage occurs during the first wash Your washer may be taking in Hot water instead of Cold- - Check to make sure your Hot Cold water hoses are connected the right way around? - Visual inspection of the hoses would suffice or - If the hoses aren't labeled - Set the wash water on cold, start the machine, then check to see which one comes on Sweater (cotton or wool)- Wash using gentle cycle when washing knitted garments, this reduces the washer's mechanical actionTherefore reducing shrinkage due to knotting up of the fibersGood Luck!!
