- This End Up Furniture! I worked in a children's group home for developmentally disabled for almost 7 years and those kids were allowed to be monsters. The furniture had been there several years prior to me working there. It is a vinal or cloth cover on a very sturdy wood frame. I have never seen it split, tear or be punctured. Not beautiful but not ugly.

- I completely agree with you about declawing, it is cruel. You should get a couple of scratching posts and put them in different places around the house. Then take your cats one at a time to the post and press there paw on it gently, just enough for there claws to come out, so they can feel it. You can also try showing them what to do by scratching your nails on it. One thing I do is rub there favorite toy on the post like your playing with them, so they will bat at it with there claws and most likely will grab the post for balance. Then praise them with treats when you see them using it. You should also clip there nails every two weeks or so. Good Luck. Sloane

Last week, my 1-yo niece puked all over our current couch (egads!)--I used enzyme cleaners and have extracted most of the stain/smell. Question is: Should we 'deal with it' until we find a permanent house and then buy a sofa that works perfectly for that house------or------should we get rid of that sofa now and buy something 'just guessing' what may work for us. (We need some sofa so just waiting won't be an option). What would you do????
- It's baby puke man, get over it. Rent a carpet/upholstery cleaner and go over the sofa if you guys are that wigged out about it then buy a sofa when you get a new place that matches the decor. In all honesty, there is probably more bacteria... even e coli on things like your purse, cell phone, coffee table, remote controls, kitchen sink etc. than the couch.... especially if you wear shoes in the house or have pets. If it was me, I would just deal with it as you said because if you wash it then it's fine. Wait until you have your own kids and they're spitting up and peeing on your furniture.... this really isn't a big deal.
