FAQ

Q: My Vacbag keeps splitting when I use it, why does it keep doing that?

Your Vacbag may not be the one suited for your unit, as it will split if it is not the right size for the vacuum cleaner. The bag itself is not an issue with size or shape, but if the hose doesn’t fit into it then it breaks it. We have a range of Vacbags for many models of vacuum cleaners, we can always see if one fits your model or if there is a distributor near you.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q:If you have first hand experience with these units, please advise. The idea sounds great; turn it on, leave the house, come home and the whole house is vacuumed, and the unit is back in its port being recharged. Do they do a good job? Do they miss areas like around the chair legs at the dining room table? Do you reccommend a particular brand? Please share your experience.
Mine does a great job. I have a Roomba Scheduler. Love, love, love it. I hardly ever have to vacuum the edges or anything because the dirt never makes it there because it vacuums everyday. So worth it.
Q:How can I tell how loud a vacuum is before I buy it (if there is no display model)?
Most places do have a return policy so could return it if you were unhappy. Could also make a request to the owner to put one together. If it has mostly this type of item on sale I am sure they will be happy to do this to make the sale. I think you will find that most vacuums do make close to the same amount of sound. That is what I have found. I worry more about the power it has to pick stuff up.
Q:Hello! I was wondering if Vacuum cleaners get rid of germs. I mean, when I think about it, doesn't it probably suck all the germs up? Perhaps it may not kill germs, but it at least gets rid of them on a particular surface(like the carpet.)And if they don't get rid of germs, than how can I get rid of germs on the carpet? I know that Steam Cleaning and shampooing the carpet are good measures, but I don't want to do that on like a weekly basis. I am looking for something that can get rid of germs at least once a week.
in the event that they thieve a Dyson vacuum purifier...why no longer? permit me in basic terms plug my new Dyson into my pals capability grant and wallah! vacuuming with a Dyson is the hot borrowing gray Poupon? out of your pals Bently..yay!
Q:. Why is the consideration of a black hole as a 'cosmic vacuum cleaner' so wrong?
I suppose because black holes don't draw everything in the universe into them, therefore they're not cosmic vacuum cleaners. Even if our own sun suddenly became a black hole none of the planets would be sucked into it because it would still have the same mass as the former sun.
Q:What are the important parameters of the vacuum cleaner?
Air flow: air flow through a vacuum cleaner in unit time. An index that is as important as vacuum is also related to power.
Q:Hi, I'm looking for an answer from someone who subscribes to consumer reports magazine. When was their last article on vacuum cleaners published? I'm looking for a comprehensive review of vacuums, not one article on a specific model. Thanks for the help
Pop into your local library and see if they have the 2010 Buying Guide that Consumer Reports puts out. That's the last one I remember seeing. However, I will warn you, I was disappointed. They rated Hoover very high and after having two of them and nothing but trouble with no results from Hoover, I went to a Bissell Healthy Home. Now happy as a clam with my vacuum.
Q:I hear the Dyson Animal vacuum is the best thing out there but it has a very tall price tag.Is there anything similar that performs just as well that isnt so pricey?
oh yes there is. I'm a vacuum technician at a vacuum and sewing repair shop and i see every type of vacuum cleaner. Try a Riccar Vibrance Standard. It has WAAAAY more airflow (rated in cfm) then the dyson . You can't go by the motor rating because the dyson has a 12 amp motor just like every other vacuum. You have to physically but a meter on the end of the hose and you'll find a Riccar Vibrance series, or any bagged machine for that matte, will have tripple the air flow. The dyson has good sealed suction but you need both. As far as durability, the dyson is one of the cheapest vacuums i have worked on. A Riccar Vibrance will last AT LEAST twice as long. And contrary to one of the answers above, the reason the dyson fills up with dirt so fast isn't because its picking so much dirt up, its because the cyclonic action puffs up the dirt inside the cup filling it 5 times faster then a bagged vacuum. There are many good vacuums out there, don't fall prey to the great advertising that dyson has. Check out the Riccar Vibrance Standard. It retails for under $400.00 The sebo G1 is also good, but starts at 550.00 but that vacuum is an entire league above the dyson Best of luck
Q:Does anyone know how to reverse the air from a vacuum cleaner? In other words, instead of it sucking the air in, how do you get it to blow out?
It will only do that if you have an outtake valve on your vaccuum. You then put the hose onto that valve and it blows out. The older models did have them but I don't know if any of the newer ones do.
Q:(Can the deep cleaner be used without the water as a regular vacuum?) Any thoughts on the following vacuums? I have a dog that sheds A LOT.Dirt Devil Reaction All-Surface Cyclonic; Bissell ProHeat Turbo; Bissll ProHeat 2X; Bissell Lift-Off Pet; Hoover Mach 5 Multi-Chamber Cyclonic; Hoover WindTunnel Deluxe Dirt Finder; Hoover Empower; Hoover WindTunnel Supreme; Eureka Capture w/ Spinduster; Eureka Boss Capture Plus; Eureka Boss 4D SpinDuster; Eureka Boss 4D; Eureka Boss SmartVac Ultra HEPA Deluxe; Eureka Boss SmartVac Ultra HEPA
hoover windtunnel surpreme.
Q:My vacuum cleaner is broken and I was just thinking what did people use before vacuum cleaners? random question I know but it just popped into my head.
Carpets Weren't wall to wall there was a 2 -3 foot border of floor boards around the edge normally painted or stained The carpets were hung out side and beaten to death by the maid. If you could afford a carpet you could afford a maid
