- Tough situation; the easy thing to do would be to let it go since you're about to leave. The right thing to do is to police up your battle buddy. You've been in long enough to know that if your battle buddy gets caught sleeping, he won't be the only one in trouble. So? 1. Tell him he's a turd and doing the wrong thing. 2. If he doesn't correct his actions, notify the NCO on duty. Impede his every attempt to be a dirt bag. Turn the fan back on. If he wants to argue about it, let him get loud. When the NCO comes in, make no quams about saying My battle buddy is upset because he wanted to sleep so he turned the fan off to hear you coming. The threat of turning him in should be enough to correct his behavior, if only for the short term. And that's all you have to deal with him for. Or notify your Student Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, etc. Work it up your student chain of command and give them the opportunity to help you.
- Q:I have a hard wired smoke alarm that is beeping 1x every 30 seconds. I removed the cover and looked for a battery and could not find anywhere for a battery to be placed.just the wires that the detector is attached to. - Get a knife or something like a baseball bat and have it w. you when you go hide. In case you can't do that, if you're near a window, jump out (if it's safe) with a phone and a wallet maybe and call the police. Or, you can hide somewhere, deep into a messy closet if you've got one, under the bed if it's not noticeable, or in a bathroom with a lock. Personally, I would grab a phone, knife or baseball bat and go into my guest bedroom because there's a lock on that door and a drawer right beside the door and if I were to pull it open, the door can't be opened unless they have a sledgehammer or saw. Because the drawer is blocking the door. Also, I once came across a self defense video on youtube, and found out what to do if I'm confronted by a man. - Q:Has anybody any problems with their Iridium shields flaking? It seems that the mirrored finish and color are starting to flake off around the bottom edge and the tab you use to flip the shield up with. - I started riding when I was 16. My mother helped me with the loan on my first bike. Like any mother, she didn't like the idea. Life is dangerous in general. You can get badly injured playing most sports. You reduce risk on a motorcycle by: Wearing proper safety equipment. Going through a training school. Acting mature (many accidents are caused by the rider showing off - wheelies etc) Ramping up. Take small rides in low traffic areas until you are comfortable to go farther. Understand how to spot trouble before it happens. This goes beyond basic defensive driving. You should be able to look down a road and predict how traffic is going to react long before it does. I also recommend eliminating rules of the road mindset. By that I mean, forget what the rules are and how cars are supposed to behave according to road laws they don't. Forget laws and think of it more like navigating a small boat down a dynamic stream with moving obstacles. You don't expect objects in a river to follow patterns and laws, you shouldn't expect cars to follow laws and patterns.I see no reason why you can start riding at 16. I was on a minibike at 5. A dirtbike at 12. A streetbike at 16. At some point, you will be tempted to test the bike with speed or manuvering. You will be tempted to show off to friends and or girls. - Carbon steel, low carbon steel is welded joint. Medium and low pressure is no problem. 1~16mpa no problem. Medium and high carbon steel has not been used, this is not good welding.
