Q: 2005 Volvo s80 T6 Premier I Just got Subwoofers hooked up into my car and they had to undo the battery and what not for the wiring and now my car gives me a message saying SRS Airbag Service Urgent the guys told me it was because they had unplugged the battery and it should go away if I drive about 30miles, I‘ve driven over 100 and it‘s still there and the Volvo Dealer wants 110.00 to fix the light. Q: I use a Nikon D90 in a no/low light situation for concerts where flash i strictly forbidden. The issue is that the AF assist illuminator light is way to white and bright to be used in this circumstance. It just to closely resembles a flash and will get be booted and blacklisted from certain venues. So the question is this. Is there an accessory or workaround for improving the ability of the cameras auto focus without using the bright white light that is the assist lamp? It looks like the speed light accessory have a red autofocus lamp but that you would have to shoot with a flash to use it? What about a gel pack, or similar over the existing lamp?: I agree with everything Eclipse said. Also in general, the center AF sensor is the most reliable in low light. Select your AF area mode to dynamic area and use the rear selector pad to select the center sensor. Set AF to AF-S. Use the focus-recompose technique, which should be in your manual. Aim the center sensor to a point with contrast or distinct detail, and focus-recompose. Otherwise, you could always revert to manual focus, though it's tricky on crop DSLRs with their tiny viewfinders.

Q: There are some other similar questions about this but can‘t find the righ answer. Here‘s what happened. My girlfriend and I cleaned the carpet on her 02 Honda Civic LX. So for better access, we removed both front seats. When done, we wanted to move the car foward a lil bit so I started up the car (this is with no seats) and moved it. After installing the seats back and connecting the cables for the seat belt restraints, we turned on the car once again and the SRS light was showing. I‘m pretty sure it went off when we started the car with no seats the firs time but did not realized it untill we were done. So my question is, how can I remove the freaking light? I tried disconnecting the battery for like an hour with no change. All cables are connected properly. Would a scan tool remove the light? The auto-adjust option on the LCD monitor will load some pre-configured setting put into the system in the factory. These are set believing you have good eyesight, good lighting in the room and are not colorblind. It also sets the monitor up to run at the fastest recommended refresh rate. You should set the brightness/contrast to what feels comfortable to you without having the monitor lit up too high. The only thing that damages a monitor very fast is 'over-driving' brightness controls. So the lower the brightness the better for both of you. Just bring up the brightness until you are comfortable and adjust the color/contrast settings to get the best match to a picture you have both in the computer and printed on hand. Try to adjust the monitor controls until the picture tones get very close to each other. Very few monitors can do this without being 'over-driven' so be careful to set any control to full or null applications.

Q: I get alittle agitated at auto makers that now put fog lamps on cars ,and will come on whenever you turn on the regular headlights . They blind most people as they shine excessivly brighter and confuse the other driver into thinking you have your bright lights on . I located a pair of airplane landing lights , and was thinking of installing them on my truck as fog lamps ,no amber lenses, just plain white bright lights that‘ll reach out Are they a good idea ? Some people notoriously point their fog lamps up so as they think they are brighter but dont take into consideration that they actually blind the other drivers , or, turn their fog lamps on just so they can see that extra 1/10 th distance further .Not saying I‘m right at doing so , but , why not if ya think I‘m wrong .: I would not recommend putting these light on. It is illegal to purposely try to blind another driver. Someone could crash and you would be held liable. Aircraft landing light are illegal for use on the road. Most aircraft lamps are 24-28 volts; wouldn't work anyway. The voltage should be stamped in ink on the back of your bulbs. And even if you wanted to use them legitimately as fog lamps, you couldn't. The lens is wrong and the light would be reflected right back at you.

Could be as simple as having an incorrect or malfunctioning gas cap. Could be a bad carbon canister, overfilling the fuel tank can damage it. Could be a bad vacuum line in the fuel vapor purge. Could be a fuel tank vent line is leaking. The only way to know why the engine computer is turning on the check engine light is to connect a scan tool to the diagnostic port. These tools start at about $200 and can get much more expensive, too much for your average shade tree mechanic. Many major auto parts stores will connect a scan tool for free and give you the diagnostic codes. This may be more helpful than throwing parts and money at it hoping to stumble across the problem You may want to take it to a reputable mechanic for an estimate. He will have the tools to correctly diagnose the problem. It may be money well spent.
