The tension from the platform doesn't change, but the tension from the man on either rope is inversely proportional to his distance from either end; in other words, he's 1/3 of the way from the right end, so 2/3 of his mass goes to tension on that rope; he's 2/3 from the other end so 1/3 of his mass goes to tension on the left rope. the rest is just math!
