- Q: If a submersible pump to shake the insulation, water pump distance more than 20 meters away from the cable distribution box is fixed, at this time to shake the insulation in the distance distribution box can only shake, disconnect the power cable is connected with the shake table, the ground end is connected with the distribution box in such a shake, I want to ask is, what is this shake is not the pump shell must be reliable grounding to shake ah? Now the pump casing is not grounded, just immersed in water, immersed in the water, is not equal to good grounding ah?
- The cable head in the distribution box should be relieved. What's more, the motor insulation is not the pump insulation. Usually, just shake it in the middle of the water and the ground.
- Q: I got a water pump replaced a few month back, ( i own a 95 Honda civic) i have a wierd muffled rattle coming from that part of my car, i was told by a mechanic that it sounds like a bearing is dried out, he says that it wont affect the water pump itself but the ratlle will remain ... is this true . . .
- A 'dried' bearing is sure to fail. Bearings without lubricant don't last long. I'm having trouble with my new waterpump. Bought it from AutoZone and it's already squeeling after 6 months. My water pump has a tensioner pulley built on to it. That's where my noise is coming from.
- Q: How much would it be in labor and parts to change a water pump and on a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 4 wd with 109k.miles? Should I change the timing chain? If you can please give me a estimated Thank You!I getting tired of old Vechiles LOL

- Q: Hello,Thanks for looking into my question. I am a little confused on the definition of a submersible water pump. I am assuming that they are actually submerged but that sounds a bit unlikely in my mind. I suppose if it has a GFCI setup built in with everything sealed beyond the portion that pumps, it would work submerged without any risks involved. Are submersible water pumps meant to be fully submerged? I am mainly interested in this information because I am concerned about the amount of noise they make, being submerged seems likely that they would not be able to be heard. Thanks.
- submersible pumps are absolutely able to be completely submerged. they come in may sizes based on outlet pipe size and horsepower ratings. they are also very quiet, usually about as loud as a fish tank air pump or so. you need to know distance from pump to end of outlet hose and rise(meaning how far uphill it will be pushing the water in order to size it properly. you will also need a waterproof spot to plug it in for outdoor applications.
- Q: I just had the water pump replaced, now less than a week later it is overheating again and sometimes blowing cold air. What does this sound like it would be?
- Air in the cooling system, or worse yet, head gasket failure.
- Q: I have a pump connected to a lake, that I use to water garden. I changed the line into the lake as it had a air leak and lost it.'s prime.I have filled water back into the tank and lines .several times. And it hasn't caught it's prime. It is a year old pump that came with it's own tank. When I am doing all this I leave the tap end closed.I'm pretty sure that all is tight and not leaking. The line into the water is only about 5ft deep
- If possible, attach a hose directly from your drinking water faucett to faucett on pump. Open both and turn on pump. If pump will not cycle off, your check valve is bad. If it does, turn off water supply and open pump faucett. pump should come on and belch air and water. Repeat this several times. If it still dosen't pick up prime you still have a leak in you'r new suction or well side. The tank only aids in shutting pump off . nothing to do with pump running or getting prime.
- Q: leaking coolant after the car engine has stoppped
- if your water pump is leaking fluid -its bad period- it should never leak unless installed incorrectly--signs for bad pump are-noise-grab fan blade wiggle if shaft moves-bad pump-open cap on radiator-no water moving-bad pump-bad pump--
- Q: I want to run 1 HP, 220 v, single phase water pump on solar panels without using any batteries. what do I need to do so amp; how do I wire it?
- Does a great job of increasing global warming as well, as the waste energy becomes what = HEAT!
- Q: the water pump from the factory has an extra hole coming out the side its the smaller one on the end of this pic.
- I would be a little hesitant on using an automotive water pump on a boat. The may seem similar however there are several key differences in the way they are made. excerpt from the below URL: In regard to the cooling systems, one of the major differences is found in the water-circulating pump. This is especially noticeable when you have a raw water cooled engine. Unlike their automotive counterpart, a marine pump works in an open cooling system. This type of system is extremely corrosive to the pump. Therefore, the pump must be altered for longevity. A marine pump has a special ceramic seal, stainless steel backing plate, and a bronze impeller to resist corrosion. An automotive style pump, with its stamped steel impeller, would fail due to corrosion in a short time. I have done this before, I boat in fresh water and my boat was raw water cooled, the pump was leaking after 2 seasons, wasn't worth the savings. The extra hole may have been for an optional closed loop cooling system on the boat or like was stated a heater or bypass line in a car.
- Q: I would like a website that has pictures but any info would be helpful...
- Even if you put the auxiliary water pump on its still going to leak. The water will still circulate through it. All you need to do is buy a gasket and some silicone, spend a total of $50 and fix it.
