Q: Hi, my old laptop has broken: when i try to put the power cable into the socket on the laptop, it only goes in on a certain angle and never stays there even when taped, so its impossible to get the laptop on for more than a few seconds. Q: ...suction cup mount?There is a port on the side of the device that the vehicle power cable fits into, but the manual says the vehicle power cable is designed to plug into the suction cup mount. What happens if I plug the vehicle power cable directly into the gps unit? Does the unit operate, but not charge? Does it not operate at all? Does it operate and charge? Before trying it, I'd like to know so I don't harm the device.: Garmin makes a couple of power cords that go from one GPS to the other. Read the instruction manual, if it says a power cord plugs in there it will work. It will not recharge unless you have Ni-Cad rechargable batteries. Garmin is an excellent unit and you can moved saved info from other Garmins on your computer to your new one usually.

Q: Hello, I am looking to purchase a single power connector for 5 hard drives. I have a modular 1200W power supply, and all i can find on website is these single power connecters that do not even look like they will connect to my power supply. My computer came with power connectors for 4 hard drives in single cables. I do not want to waste another Power supply slot for just 1 more hard drive. Can anybody tell me how to search for this? Q: my laptop power cable is pluged in and turned on but it fails to charge or power my laptop but its in properly and sumtimes works .. any help?: ok....this might not be you power supply cable.. this may be a problem with your powerjack in your laptop, if that's loose, then it won't recieve any power from the cable...it will randomly though..i had the same problem a few months ago, and a little solder job will do the trick! take it to a good local repair guy (or me if you're in the uk hahaha)... and have the power jack resoldered.. try your power supply on another similar laptop to make sure it's not that..but generally speaking..once a power supply's fried..it won't work randomly...all it is, is a transformer and a converter... it would make sense if it was the power jack loose or has a faulty connection to the motherboard :) hope this helped!

Q: I currently have a vibe amp wired in that my front speakers run off, im thinking about gettin an Edge sub with a built in amp so was wandering if id have to wire in a new power lead or if i could run them both of the one thats already running to the battery? Also how would i get rca cables running to each if i only have one output on my stereo? Thanks: yes i used the same power wire and just split all my wires for my second amp and everything is fine but i made a new ground for it. it will work fine but make sure you have a good battery or its gonna die, i made sure i got a life time warrenty so i can just take them back and get a brand new one whenever it dies.
