4. fire-resistant cable can work for over 90 minutes under 750℃-900℃; the fireproof properties test accords with GB12666.6 standards.

- Cable thickness is there for a reason. The more current something uses, the thicker the cable. I'm sure you could probably replace the cable with any other cable, but a smaller cable will heat up more easily, especially if compressed in with many cables in a cable management system. You probably can, but should you??

- in addition to what ed said. if you drill through a firewall or bulkhead install a grommet or use a piece of rubber tubing [hose] to protect the wire. also make sure that where you drill,nothing is behind it. ruining your evaporator or heater core normally means that the dash will have to come out for repairs on most cars ,nothing cheap here.and pinching cable around a hinge or other movable part is begging for a fire. i see this sort of crap all the time and i wonder how these owners get up and down the road without hurting someone or themselves. take your time and don't cheap the job out, most cases another twenty minutes and 5.00 dollars of parts would have resulted in a solid installation instead of a burned out hulk.

- Compare it with the one plugged into your computer. Most any store that carries computers or home electronics will have that kind on hand, possibly even a box full of leftovers in the back of the service department. If the cord is thick it's built to carry more power and you should get a similarly rated one to be safe.
- Q:So I'm trying to add a sata hard drive from an older computer in my new one, but I encountered a problem. - are you sure there's not 1 power cord with six plugs on it? often the power cables will have connectors all the way down them.

- You could connect it without the fuse but if something shorts out your going to fry the wiring. That's fuse is there for a reason, I wouldn't recommend not using it.

- If you're talking external, then yes. Internal gets power from the PSU.
- Q:Hi, my old laptop has broken: when i try to put the power cable into the socket on the laptop, it only goes in on a certain angle and never stays there even when taped, so its impossible to get the laptop on for more than a few seconds. I've tried different power cables too, and nothing seems to work, so it must be the actual laptop problem... how can I get the laptop to stay on to retrieve some photos that I have got on there? - you will no longer get lots money for a computing device without stress. right here is what to do: (a million) purchase a caddy ( a container that turns the stress into an exterior USB stress) ?10 - ?20 (2) take the stress out of the previous device, positioned it in the caddy, connect it to a distinctive computer (3) use the different computer to wipe the stress (4) flow the stress back to the computing device (5) sell the computing device (and the caddy, in case you do no longer want it; notwithstanding that's properly worth conserving it for emergencies).
