Q:Stand up jet ski have a water pump? Not working?
Hey Sam, It's Jeff again. I used to own a stand-up ski a while back, and I had the same problem. The water to the motor comes from the jet pump, the more RPM, the more pressure, There should be enough pressure to keep the motor cool at low RPM, but if not then there are a couple of things to check. Since you already eliminated a blockage in the motor buy disconnecting the pickup, first check the actual pickup for a restriction from the entrance to the connection you took the hose off at. If that's OK, then the clearance in the jet pump itself could be excessive. A ski with a lot of hours in sandy water can have pump wear that isn't really noticeable when cruising, you might notice it a little under heavy acceleration when leaving the no wake zone. Under idle there just isn't enough pressure to cool the motor. You can have it fixed for not to much, a little hard to do yourself. To save a planned day on the lake you can always get a cheep inline electric water pump. My last thought though, since your other question was about a slow cranking starter, I'd pull the plugs and spin it over to see if it spits water out the cylinders. It doesn't hurt just to eliminate a blown head gasket. As a side note, I like them a lot better then the big sit-down style, they're much more free then the bigger ones. It's like the difference between a motorcycle and a car. If you want to do the stuff the bigger ones do, buy a boat.

WP bolts should be torqued to 11lbs+80*/Idler pulley bolt at 36lbs/WP pulley bolts at ~9lbs 11. Reinstall everything and fill the coolant back up 12.
Q:how to repaira water pump?
If you have to ask the question you don't have the skills to do it. You could see if there's anyone in your area who rebuilds motors and ask them to look at it, but if it smoked it's probably dead. If you want to try some simple things, take it apart, dry it out and put it back together and see if it works. If does, see if you can see where the water was leaking from and see if you can seal it back up.
Q:Replacing water pump and heater...?
depends on where you live . as i've noticed in larger cities it cost more. also on the size of the water pump and heater. any ideas on the brand?
Q:My alternator belt broke down and maybe the water pump, what is fair price to repair?
Most shops are going to charge 2 hours labor to change the water pump, so if their labor rate is $55/hr, you will be looking at $110+ the cost of the belt water pump and coolant. Knowing that information, probably $225 would be a normal charge.Good Luck.
Q:where does a car water pump leaks at?
on the very bottom of the pump there is a weep hole. This leaks the coolant once the pump bearing seal deteriorates and pours coolant over the area of the crankshaft...gl
Q:How do the water pump work please till me water pump mechanism?
Water pumps can be positive displacement or impeller type. Either of these increases the pressure of the water and so can move or lift the water. Centrifugal is an impeller type where a sort of fan blows the water. If the fan stops the water can flow back. You'll need to prime these if they get dry. Fishtanks might use this. Positive displacement means that the water is pushed by some sort of piston. Diaphragm pumps are positive displacement and useful if you don't want the water to run back. Also you won't need to prime it because won't drop the water out when it stops. I'm not sure where hydraulic ram type pumps come into this scheme but they rely on the inertia of moving water to generate high pressure pulses to pump water.

Q:What is a good inexpensive water pump for my fish tank?
Rio pumps are inexpensive and are very very durable. I highly reccomend them. I keep my sump level fairly low so that when i see bubbles in the display tank cause the pump is sucking a little air, i remember to add top off water. My pump sucks air about once every other week prolly for a few hrs at a time, until i get home from work and its still going strong! (I know this isnt the best way to do it, but if i dont run it low enough for it to suck air i totally forget to add top off water). I havent had to replace the pump yet. I also replaced my outdoor garden fountain pump with a rio. It sucks up leaves and junk all the time with no problems (except when the leaves cover where it sucks the water but thats not the pumps fault lol)
Q:How to find in a web how water pump works & its cross sections?
My suggestion is go and search in the website howstuffworks
