- Q:Less than a yr ago i got a sofa sectional w- 2 recliners a sleeper. Less than a month after i bought it i had some friends spend the night the sleeper closed on them. Nobody got hurt thankfully. I then called Ashley Furniture the next morning complained. I did have a warranty insurance on the couch. I had to spend months complaining 3 mos later they send someone to look at it. It takes him another month to send a replacement sofa. I got the new sofa in so i felt it was safe i had my parents sleeping on the bed and it closed injured my 64 year old dad. (He has back problems anyhow). I felt it could have been the hard wood floors making it close up. So i got carpet installed under the sofa area. Well sure enough my best-friend was here sleeping over. It closed again injured my friends knee. I called told them all this asked if there was a recall on this sofa they said no. The model # is 8890397. I can't find the sofa on the website anymore. Where can i go to find out.

- Q:So my mom is giving me her three person sofa. I'm looking for a website that sells covers for STRAIGHT ARM furniture! Its an ugly green tan color that has yellow gold embroidery(obviously really old). Every time I look up furniture covers, its like all they make is covers for furniture with these rounded arms. My sofa I'm about to inherit doesn't have rounded arms! Uhh the lack of diversity in soda covers is killing me! - Q:I had a fat friend visit, and at one point he looked out the window while kneeling improperly on the sofa. Now the sofa is very wobbly. The wooden support legs are wobbling like crazy. How do I stabilize them?
- Some sofas you can unscrew the support legs, he may have just stripped a little bit of the wood inside that normally holds the screw tight. If its really bad you can get some profession-all wood putty, refill it then drill a bit out and re-screw the leg on. If the actual screw/bolt of the leg is trashed sometimes you can get to the nut from a small hole at the bottom of the leg, remove and just put a new one in. If everything else fails, make yourself a new leg, doesn't even have to be fancy just a block of wood. You can put metal straps from the leg to the frame if you don't feel like drilling through the leg and up into the frame for a bolt/screw deal.

- Hc sofas buy/sell for 3 credits now. Sometimes throught the day you'll see a room saying there selling Hc sofas for 2 credits, but the people are obviously trying to get quick cash. It might take a long time to sell them for 3 credits although thats what they are worth, so try doing 2 hc sofas for 5c. If you just can't sell any, you'll have to go for 2c each.

- As the first reply said, you can have whatever you like. But it sounds like you're concerned there might be too little contrast in the room, and that would be a shame considering how much $$ and effort an ivory leather sofa takes, eh? Consider grounding: the sofa on a deep-colored area rug such as a medium navy, or chocolate brown, or a charcoal grey. You could also consider painting the wall opposite the room's entrance in a similar color, so the sofa pops in contrast to the floor opposite-wall. Both of these options --together or only one-- will make the sofa more prominent and you can dress the sofa with similarly colored accessories such as pillows and a throw. Hope this helps, ? ? - Q:My dogs are 8 months old and one of the licks the sofa cushions constantly. I'm not sure why but it's really gross to try to sit down with these huge wet spots (about 10-12 in diameter.) - Ive had this happen too,it can take awhile. So what I know is that its a limited edition custom sofa twelve of thriteen in existence. I dont know how old it is, who actually made it or what its made of or its size. .When you sell it its worth what someone else will pay for it. What qualities does it have that provide special value to a buyer? Is it well made, is it beautiful is it special size , whats the condition of it, how could it be used by someone else? Look at some high end consignment stores and expect to sell for at least 1/3 or the original value, it is still used furniture. I suggest that you get it out into the public where it can be seen and appreciated. Moving it out of your home will seperate your sentiment and attachment to it. Im happy you had this experience of winning something, take a picture of it for your memories and let someone else enjoy using it in the future.
