- Q:My power keeps flickering out every once in a while so I lit a candle just in case, and I accidentally spilt wax onto the cushion. I can't get it out. I tried scraping it off, vaccuming it, and I tried the ice thing I read that got it out of other people's carpets and junk.The sofa is made of this soft velvety junk and the wax is like soaked into it or something. I can't even just turn the cushion over. Other people of Answers said use an iron, but there's no iron in our house. Does anyone have any other ideas?Please help! My mother will come home tomorrow afternoon and kill me! Thanks!
- Take an ice cube hold on it It makes the wax brittle easier to pull off.

- I had a sofa from Ikea and it hold up good for a couple of year if you don't have any kids or wild beast scratching it all up. I don't really like it since its construction is not the best. It may look good but wont last long. I want a sofa that cost 400-500 to last 6 year but what can you do. It's decent sofa but I rather send a little extra at some other place to get a better quality one.

- hun measure your sofa, then look at the package of the sofa cover, on it it should tell you what size it will cover...at times they even have a picture on them. If you cant get one any other way, go to a dressmaker and have her make you one, the exact size you want

- You may be able to take the covers to a specialized tailor who is able to do that sort of thing, i do know hat there are some do it yourself things on the market, but there is not really a common way to get your sofa re-dyed. Maybe you could buy new covers?

- DO NOT declaw it is incredibly harmful to them. Try double sided tape it worked really well for me. You just put it over the clawed spots and your cat won't like the stickiness.

- Well that really depends on how large the sofa is If its like love seat size then that may work but if its full size your going to struggle with a hand truck not to mention fitting it through doorways your better off with a flat floor dolly set the couch on it push it Probably going to save you a headache if you find second person to help carry it then set it on a floor dolly and push it to your truck a hand cart with a big couch and one person will be a struggle hope that helps Lr

- Check behind the sofa for a lever that is usually in the center near the top.You may also check behind the sofa at the base near the floor on each side.If this is a custom made interior like for Recreational use. ( Conversion Van)The sofa was put in by a sublet company.Some sofas went down just by folding the back part of the sofa down by pulling on it.Just don't force it.Good Luck PS: Sometimes the back of the seat 'ratcheted' to it's different positions.

- Define Sitting. Slamming onto the sofa, putting your feet (in shoes) up and your heels digging into the cushions will put *excessive* wear on the couch. Sitting upright on the sofa with both feet on the ground, dead-still with only a small (empty) tea-cup in one hand (little finger out) and the saucer in the other will put *minimum* wear on it. If one weighs 200+ pounds, add an additional factor to the above. If one weighs 300+ pounds, yet more and so on. Normal wear is something in between.

- Go with what you like best. Chocolate brown is an excellent choice. I would then find a way to incorporate the chocolate brown in the curtains; as well as finding ways to incorporate the chocolate in the wall hangings as well. (for example-pictures matted and hung in a chocolate frame/sepia picuters) Most of all go with what connects with you or you'll find that it can be difficult to live with something you thought you should rather than the one you really liked.
