- get every thing out of cupboard , throw away sofa covers if they are no good, wipe out the cupboard with a hot cloth soapy water then wipe dry. soak the plates in very hot water, when water has cooled a little give them a good scrub with a scourer. Even give oven ware a clean if needed, if you have plastic stuff best to buy new ones take it with you when you move again Then arrange plates in one pile oven ware in another in cupboard. - Wow...the cool thing is...you've got an entire world of color to work with! I would say that the best thing to do is find a piece of art, or a fabric that you absolutely love and use the colors from that as your pallette. With cream colored furniture and dark wood...you can do ANYTHING and it will be beautiful! Starting with throw pillows you like is a good idea. When getting curtains...I'd go with whatever the background color is in the fabric/art work...to draw that into the rest of the room.

- You can pay outright for a sofa but I don't think you can give them cash. They never gave me the option to anyway. A cheque or debit transaction is fine. So you can pay in a lump sum or over a period of X amount of years. I just brought a Dfs sofa and they are a bunch of con artists. I waited four months for delivery and then my sofa wouldn't fit through the front door (it's a regular-sized door - I don't know what castles they've been delivering to) so I refused the delivery (didn't fancy building an extension around the sofa). Went back at the weekend and they refused to give me my money back! They said they manufactured the sofa in good faith and I have to choose another one. So I ended up paying another ?300 for a more expensive sofa - a sofa which is delivered with its back unattached and they fix the two parts together in the house (so this more expensive sofa *will* fit through the door; funny that). Now I'm having words with a lawyer to see if I can get the difference knocked off my new sofa. So anyway, my point is... if there is any - any - option you can take which allows you to NOT pay until the sofa is safely in your home then take it. I'm not taking about credit either - the contracts are also legally binding. See if you can work out a debit arrangement, where the money is taken out of your bank ONLY after the sofa has been delivered. If they don't do that, find a place that does.

- Well, your options are limited! You can either, 1. Throw the cat outside and lock all doors and windows. 2. Shave the cat. 3. Sell the cat. 4. Put up with a furry couch.

- it not the breed that chews things its just some dogs love to chew i don't think he will chew up your sofa but to make sure when you sit in the living room leave him on the sofa and if he is a chewer he'll do it in front of you my pups used to dig in the lether sofa but i would put them on the floor if they done it and they stopped

- I love my micro-fiber couch. And I have a cat and I spill things. When I purchased it I was told ONLY USE WATER on a damp towel and it will remove problems. I have spilled coffee, food and the cat has brought in dirty, all removed with a damp towel. BTW my couch is a light brown.
