Q:50 meters deep well with what water pump: home?: For deepwater submersible pumps, ordinary submersible pumps are inefficient.

Q:can't get the pulleys to line up I know I have a mid 70's 400 and the water pump is later than 1969 but I can't find a pulley that works every one is about a half inch off I bought a aftermarket set of underdrive pulley's from march performance and still the same problem the water pump is a half inch off there was no long or short water pump right they are all the same lenght right??? The only difference I know of is that pre 1968 the pumps have a 8 bolt design and after they have a 11 bolt design is that right???: Actually there was two main pumps for the older ones,, one was called a short shaft,,and one was called a long shaft,,the long shaft was the most popular,and it all depends on whether your car had power steering,,and air conditioning on it,,all the ones that used the long shaft usually had air,,and power steering on them also,,also some of them had a smog pump on them,,this was the main reason they used the long shaft,,most of the smog pumps got taken off and discarded down through the years,,but you still had to use the pump that had the long shaft,,this is the problem your having,,i own a repair shop in Tennessee,,and have been redoing some old cars in the past few years i to have run across the same problem you are having,,you can have a long shaft ordered for you ,,and it will work fine,,i had to use the long shaft on the one i was redoing hope this helps some.

Q:As I wrote last night, I have a Isuzu Rodeo V6 3.2L 4X4. I guess I misunderstood my husband. I talked to him this morning and he said that it did overheat but the gauges on the inside of the car wasn't showing that it was overheating. It wasn't spewing coolant but the coolant that was just filled up a couple of weeks ago is empty. Does anyone know what the problem is?: it could be coming out of the weep hole in the water pump or a freeze plug leaking. have him to check those things out.

Q:Fully automatic self-priming pump: It's difficult to answer your question only from the name you give! There are many automatic self suction pumps on the market. Generally, the pump outlet is equipped with a pressure switch. It starts automatically when the pressure is low, and stops after a certain pressure.If the pump outlet is the pool (water tank), then it is not a simple "automatic self-priming pump".It is an automatic water supply system. The whole system includes water pump, water tank, liquid level meter, electromagnetic starter (contactor), switch and so on

Q:Hi I really need a USB water pump (small). I have found one in China but they need payment in a different currency so its proving difficult. I would much prefer a US/EUROPE seller. Cheers.PSgt; If I had to pay to get the power supply changed from wire to USB then I could if anyone knows who could do this.: The USB output has a 5V power supply. USB2 delivers up to 500mA and later versions may be 900mA. USB hubs start off with less than this (100mA) but change as they are initialised. Some dedicated USB charging ports supply up to 1.8A. There are some USB power cables that take the output from 2 ports in a sort of Y harness (first link for example). The result of all this is that only a very small pump would run from most USB ports. I did find 2 rated at 5W and 8W but the voltage was not shown. I suspect they were mains operation, meant for large water bottles. If they were 5V they would use 1A and 1.6A respectively, so only run from special USB charge points or double cables, and only in some cases anyway. I assume you want to run from a Laptop/Notebook battery for convenience. The point is that even if the USB port can supply the correct voltage and current the battery would be emptied very quickly. It is probably cheaper to get a suitable pump, then power it from a separate and more suitable rechargeable battery or mains adaptor (wall wart), whatever it takes, taking into account how long it should run with a single charge. This is about the battery voltage and the capacity in ampere hours - the number of hours it can supply a given current. D size rechargeable (Ni-MH) would run a 6V x 6W motor using 1A for about 6 hours. C size cells are half that, and AA cells about half again. It takes 4 cells to get 5V. Get them as a pack though or at least with a battery holder, as they cannot be soldered. Then you need a proper charger. Recent laptop/notebook batteries are lithium ion types, 10.8V and 4.8Ah, so deliver 1A @10.8V for 4h more or less. Other types worth considering are for cordless drills.

Q:Can a car turn off due to a water pump. I am thinking of buying a car that the water pump needs to be replaced, everything else in the car its fine, it turns on lovely but after a little while it turns off, the owner says its because of the water pump. is this possible?: yes it can IF the car is running hot. id wanna see this happen. when you go to look at the car start it up an let it run til it starts to go past normal,once it goes up past normal you can be sure its the water pump not working,which when newer cars overheat they shut off.jus dont run it hot. id also wanna know that the car runs great. no telling how many times he's let it run hot an shut off like that

If there is water at the discharge of the pump, but the pump is not running, then there will be a pressure in the system. 3. If the pump is running, the pressure in the system will be higher than at 2.) above becuse it takes additional pressure to move the water through the piping. The flowing water requires additional pressure to get thru the piping system.

Q:I need to get my timing belt and water pump replaced, its been 100,000 km , just wondering, what exactly these things do, i want to know more about my car, and just how much this would cost to take care of, my dealership says almost a 1000, including labour, does this seem right.: The timing belt is the connection to all your other belts. If it snaps while driving it, it will need re-timed with a timing machine. Usually by a mechanic. I suggest replacing that ASAP. As for the water pump, they last a little longer but if you notice your car's temp gage going up in heat every now and then, the water pump might need replaced. good luck!
