Q:Hi, I've successfully installed Windows XP in a virtual box using VMware Workstation 6.0.When I was setting it up, I opted to have the networking bridged, which should have let me share an internet connection with the host operating system.Well, it didn't work .So what do I do? I don't want to have to download stuff in Vista then have to copy them to my XP virtual machine every time I want to install older software, and some of the things I want to install need internet accessCan someone please help me?P.S.: I'm rather new to Virtual machines, so please answer accordingly.P.P.S.: Don't suggest that I just dual boot, I already know how to do that, I just like playing with Virtual machines.Thank you!
Answered wrong question, sorry please disregard
Q:Quick give me the code to the Refrigerator !! Theyre coming?
I season mine 1 day in advances, cook them in an uncoventional way, wrapped in plastic wrap in side tin foil packets for 45-60 minutes, cook them, I also like to brush a bit of sauce on the while they cool, and then roast them slow, in a 325 degree oven for 45-60 minutes adding sauce every 15 minuteI was a chef and develpoed a killer sauce, with Jack Daniels and lots of spice, including a health amount of cayenne and allspiceMost places I worked begged me to leave a copy of the recipe to useI still try it every so often, but am dieting so all I can do is think about themYou also can finish them on an indoor grill or outside on the BBQ.
Q:okay, dhcp server wont assign the network bridge an ip address, it continually says quot;invalidquot;, and when i manually assign the bridge an ip address i still cant access the internet.dhcp assigns wireless, and lac ip address when not connected to the bridge and i can get on the internet.what is wrong with the bridge ? i have windows xp pro
Not sure what exactly you mean by a bridgeA network bridge is used to connect 2 networks on different subnets ( a form of dumb router ), not to connect to the internetIf you have a bridge in place, but, are not receiving any IPs on the LAN without the DHCP server on it, you will need to configure a DHCP relay agent on that LAN target it at the appropriate IP of your DHCP serverWhen you state you have XP Pro though, this suggests you are a home user as such are unlikely to be using any kind of bridgeIf you have a wireless / wired router connecting you to ADSL, you just need to set the router to work as a DHCP server set your workstation to use DHCPIf you are talking about ICS ( Internet Connection Sharing ), you will need to turn off DHCP on your router assign a static IP on the router facing NICDHCP will be running on the workstation operating ICS distributing it to other machines on your local networkIdeally, to do this, your ICS machine will be connected to your router via USB, NIC, or wireless; whilst your client machines are connecting through a different NIC or wireless NICSorry if that doesn't help, just trying to guess at what problem you are having as the description is a little vagueHope you get it sorted though Good Luck :0)
Q:Not a fake one made out of cardboard I mean a real radical one! If you could help it'd bee really cool of you.
you dont sand aluminum you strip it!
Q:I have a sister who has spina bifida, autism, and hydrocephalusI always get told by my friends how lucky I am that I have an elevator in my house and ramps to enter my garage, backyard, and front yardWith my sister's disabilities we sorta need them, since it would be unfair to restrict her to one areaI get bothered by being called lucky, and I know there are many families who have cases worse than mine, but honestly I don't consider myself itI would give up anything for my sister to be able to walk even if it was just for 5 minutesThat's why I don't feel lucky, because I feel like no matter how much more we could ever get, I will never feel lucky until I see her walkingI feel selfish when I say that I'm not lucky because the things I do have I'm greatful for, and people don't normally have elevators in their houseAm I wrong? Should I feel lucky?
No its not bad and I can understand why you don't like being called thatJust ask your friends So i'm lucky that my sister can't walk so I can ride an elevator?
Q:I would like to find who makes small lifts or elevators in 2floor houses, for disabled. All i can google or yahoo are lifts for big buildingsAny help?
Yellow pages mateStena stair lifts? If you are in UK.that isUSA id guess it would be best to ring directory's and ask them.
Q:Teenage Birthday party? or anything to do in Oregon? 10 points for best place/answer?
frozen hamburger meat crock pot chili
Q:HiI want to know what is the differance between architectural and structural engineering as every construction company requires both? And what is the salary differance?
They are pretty similarHowever, structural engineers work in the structure design of buildings, bridges, tunnels, even machines, etcArchitectural engineers perform a similar role but are more focused on the design of things that improve our living standards within (lightning, HVAC, energy, etc.)Since architectural engineering is not a very common degree it is hard to tell the salary difference between the two (specially since, based on the degree descriptions, they probably end up doing the same jobs most of the time).
Q:I'm sick of people as a nice guySeems like people in general are only mad at you if you don't do what they want you to doEvery where I look, someone's got their hand outFamily is worse, homeless second and everyone else lastly.
yep.been there done that.its mainly family (sadly) who are like that - once theyv'e got it in their boneheads what THEY think is good for you - theyl'l push it on you non stop for what feels like forever - iv'e had my parents insisting i join the police despite me saying Every single time i no longer have interest in it for the past 5 Yearsand then to make things worse, them of all people critisise your life decisions or carrer options you actually want to try out - get a truck licence? no don't do it its too expensive, you need to buy a truck to do it for a career, etc - try going for crane licence? no there's no work for it hard to get into - become a soap maker? no theres no money in that well damn what should i do then? be an uneducated hobo?!?! about 3 years ago, wanting to get my forklift licence i was also told by others every man and his dog have a forklift licence nowdays - wanting to do it, i flat out ignored their advice, got licenced, and ended up scoring a full time casual production job while driving forklifts and getting more experience - career-wise and financially, it was the best decision i had ever made! :P Moral of the story - do what makes you happy! :)
