Q:I have a (2306A-E14TAG3) PERKINS diesel engine electric generator, every two hours it turns off by itself. The generator room is well ventilated, opened from all sides, while the exhaust is free for atmosphere without any extensions from the muffler.- 66% used as part load.- Note that this generator is a new generator. ambient temperature is almost 30 degrees celcius, humidity65%.Please help me with this issue, because every two hourse i used to cool the radiator from outside by water! Is this generator going to be used in a location which is normally served by grid power. If so is it proposed to use the distribution system normally used when on the grid? If the answer to these questions is yes. The first step is to isolate the normal energy source. This has two purposes. a) to protect your equipment when power is restored and b) to protect people and equipment working on the external circuit. Once this is isolated wire the generator into the circuit (closing isolating switch if hard wired). Start the generator using normal procedures with minimal load in place. Slowly increase load until desired effect is achieved. When external power is returned. Slowly reduce load and isolate generator. Restore normal grid connection. Shut off generator.

Q:I have a 4 piston Diesel engine on my generator, I have a nasty oil sludge continue to build up every time, I have flushed the engine with engine flush liqui-moly probably six times, but after it is clean the sludge builds up again in couple of days, I got sick and tired of going down there and get all messed up with nasty oil.The engine produces while smoke continuously, not much but visible enough. I get oil coming onto the air filter, the place smells nasty because of this. The light bulbs flicker when running on the generator, it heats up fast and shuts off when I put load on it as an AC. Can someone please help me out and let me know what to do?
Get a new one or get that one rebuilt.

Hey, firstly this is a very broad question and I'm not quite sure where to start but here goes. There are several different types of generators, petrol are the cheapest (you could get a cheap one for $500-800) this is probably all you would require for a tree house. Diesel generators are more expensive but they are more reliable and diesel fuel does not deteriorate over time as petrol does. (I know this is too much information) For a 15 year old I would suggest: Plenty of couches, chairs beanbags etc. A easy way to get into the tree house, stairs around the trunk for example. A swing down from the tree house. If you have a pool or a trampoline you get organize so you could jump from a low platform.

Generators all use magnets of one form or another either permanent magnets, or electromagnets.

You just take the number of hours the generator was running, and the number of liters of fuel it used, and then divide. If it runs for 10 hours on 2 liters of fuel, then its average consumption is 5 hours per liter (10 divided by 2).
